beta7 seems much more stable then the previous version *thumbsup*

but!!!

is the active corner function for the screensaver working for you guys????
works for me – though I tend to manually set the visualiser in iTunes if I'm leaving my iMac for extended periods.

Have they fixed the green button to work as it should? (maximize instead of fullscreen?). Most annoying bug in all of OSX. Can't believe Apple hasnt fixed this since yosemite.

It is a feature... Just double click in any toolbar and THAT will maximize the window... LOVE the new green feature.... Fullscreen rocks !

Whoever thought that was the proper direction needs to be fired.

No they need an award. Who in their mind wants a maximise button on the left and a full screen button on he right. The guy who decided that should be fired.
Want to maximise just double click the status bar. It's not rocket science

Open Activity Monitor and check under CPU% what process is working. Quit it if it isn't a system process. Also, if you're using the Photos app for the first time, it will peak the CPU if you have cloud syncing turned on. iCloud Drive could be doing this too, so maybe wait it out until it finishes.
Thank you, but this does not help. I already tried it. Finder always gets stuck and I am not sure why. Restarting Finder does not solve the problem, it's just an annoying loop. I guess I just have to wait for the full release.

Apple today released the seventh beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to developers for testing purposes, two weeks after releasing the sixth El Capitan beta and more than two months after unveiling the new operating system at its 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple has also re-seeded the fifth public beta of OS X El Capitan to public beta testers after accidentally releasing it yesterday and then pulling it.

The update, build number 15A263e for developers and 15A262e for public beta testers, is available through the software update mechanism in the Mac App Store and through the Apple Developer Center.

In recent weeks, Apple has been pushing rapid updates for OS X El Capitan, all of which have focused on under-the-hood performance improvements and bug fixes to optimize the operating system ahead of its public debut. Few design changes have been made in the most recent betas, but beta 7 includes some minor tweaks like a new Safari welcome screen, a new color for the El Capitan logo in "About This Mac," and a setting to disable the "Shake mouse pointer to locate" feature.

OS X El Capitan is designed to improve features introduced with OS X Yosemite, focusing on performance and user experience. A number of apps and processes on the Mac are much faster with El Capitan, and the introduction of Metal for Mac brings system-level graphics rendering that's 40 percent more efficient.

As for user experience, El Capitan includes a new systemwide San Francisco font, a revamped Mission Control feature, a new Split View feature for using two full-screen apps at once, deeper functionality for Spotlight, and several new features for Safari, including Pinned Sites for housing frequently visited websites and a universal mute button that quiets all tabs.

OS X 10.11 El Capitan is available to both registered developers and public beta testers. Apple plans to release El Capitan to the public in the fall.

Chrome? What is that ? Haha
Yeah than its alt and green button
Same behaviour.

What's fit To content exactly in chrome?
For instance when viewing Macforums when I double-click the title bar or Alt+green button it zooms out to exactly the width of the page, it doesn't zoom out to the width of the screen. It's not a massive problem as I hardly ever use maximize in any of its incarnations, just pointing out that the solution everybody is sharing doesn't work with all applications.

Him never seen an app before that does that, must be a chrome thing than.
So does the same happen when you click alt and green button?

Yup. Exactly the same. In Photoshop double-clicking the title bar does nothing, but Alt+green works. iTunes doesn't really have a title bar but double-clicking what it has does nothing, Alt+green works. In Adium, where full screen would make no sense but I was curious, Alt+green switches between "small" and "very small". Double-clicking title bar switches between "normal" and "small", the same with green button without Alt. In Cubase both options give a full screen, same with Spotify and Firefox.

So basically it's all inconsistent. Again, I don't find this a massive problem, it's just that the solution doesn't always work.
