Looks like an issue I was having with Mail accessing my office's exchange server to send emails has been resolved :)

Adobe Application Manager crashes on latest beta, as with all previous versions. OS X Server has not been updated for EC either.
There's a Server 5 beta available through the developer site.
AAM just ran and updated parts of Adobe CC 2014 for me. Which version do you have? Mine is 8.0.0.120.

Finally, a version that I can read my archived emails.

However I do notice a problem with Messages. In a group conversation, the reply text field is missing.

Despite this being the 7th beta, I still cannot open attachment in preview. If I click on any pdf of jpg from an email (mail), it freezes preview and can only move on if I force quit. Seems odd that something so standard is still messed up. Otherwise, I LOVE IT

There was never a maximise in OS X. If you need to use the Zoom feature, you can also double-click the title bar. Maybe they really should add an option so that user can set the default behaviour, but providing options like that is not really OS X style :)

I absolutely agree.

Apple provides an option to disable mouse cursor shake but they have yet to provide a true Maximize option. A feature many Mac users have been asking for at least ten years!

The Maximize function is the by far the number one complaint I hear about from students.

Have they fixed the green button to work as it should? (maximize instead of fullscreen?). Most annoying bug in all of OSX. Can't believe Apple hasnt fixed this since yosemite.
It's new behaviour that I think Apple wouldn't fix anytime soon. You can use the old behaviour by press option and then click that green button.

Actually, you have to wipe your computer and start all the way back at Cheetah and then do each delta update in order. Takes about 36 days.

Kidding of course, GM will first be released as a developer preview/public beta so presumably you will already be updated to the final version before anyone else, but of course, once it is available to the public, you'll just do a App Store update like you have been doing each time a new preview is released.
This could be the GM, because, Typeit4Me now works:)

This is not a bug, it is part of the new UX design introduced in Yosemite. The green button acts as both the Fullscreen and Maximize button depending on what the application supports.
For apps that support it, clicking the button will make it Fullscreen. For apps that haven't been updated to support Fullscreen, it will just Maximize.

Speak for yourself. The vast majority of users are more than happy with the UI. Try Windows then tell us what you think of OS X.

1. I am speaking for myself.

2. Speak for yourself. What you state is speculative, although I can't refute it entirely, either. We don't really have a choice to compare who is or isn't happy with it, now do we? Apple forces you to use it (on current hardware) and particularly if you have an iPhone (also forced into the hideous design).

3. I think Window's take on "flat" is far, far superior to Apple's. Apple went from #1 to #3 really quick here.

4. I love OS X as an OS. I hate the way Mr. Ive made it look.

Is Handoff working for anyone? No joy with my mid-2010 MacBook Pro (with upgraded Bluetooth card) and my iPhone 6.

I ran 'Continuity Activation Tool' after the update which has successfully enabled Handoff -- the option appears in System Prefs > General, and System Information shows Handoff as supported under the Bluetooth section.
Handoff works fine with my mbp mid 14 and iphone 6 with ios9 beta.

But I can't use airdrop. My mbp can't find my iphone and my iphone not my mbp...

I have to say this is an update! My mac is finally buttery smooth! CPU usage is down, general energy impact is way down and animations are actually smooth. Looks like they finally fixed the WindowServer glitches they introduced around Mavericks. Excellent performance now

Help please
I have installed El Capitan beta 7, but most of my applications crashes after run.
Safari
Mail
Chrome
Pages
TextEdit
Skype
Messages
Crash report
and others..
Anybody have a solution for this?

Sorry for my English

I think it's the final one.
We must be close to the final thing crossed my mind as well. They changed the About This Mac X disk to the final version and this is also the first new Public Beta that didn't show the Setup Assistant and ask for iCloud info. However, it might also mean nothing. :p

In general OS X El Capitan seems stable enough to use on a daily basis. Two bugs that annoy me:
- When dragging multiple apps to another folder Finder freezes for a a while before icons accumulate underneath the cursor and can be dropped off
- I set my 2015 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Retina) to a higher scaled resolution. When logging in the desktop jumps to the proper resolution like an old CRT
