Apple sold more than 6 million iPhone X on Black Friday alone. Release day was likely 10x that. I'd say the average person is buying plenty of X.

Bold 2: You gotta be joking, 60 million iPhone X on release day, No, just no.

Will Devs PLEASE provide feedback for bluetooth/wifi in control center to actually turn the functions OFF!!?!? Why Apple implemented the 'temporarily disconnected' buttons has to be one of the most idiotic software updates they have ever made. A user shouldn't have to go into the settings app to turn off this feature.
Anyone test the wireless charging speed compared to previous releases?
I agree, I think it’s wonderfully implemented. I hope this is how it always stays.

It never claims to turn it “off”. I for one find this to be a welcome addition. If you want to turn it off there’s settings. Leaving the radio on I believe allows certain Apple connections to still work, like AirPods.
6 million is not a representation of the number of average people in the world of approx 7.6 billion. Are you saying <1% of the entire population of the world are avg people ? lol.. but it's true lot of people are buying the X.
No you get them because you dont have the ask to join setting turned off.And you don’t get those irritating pop ups everytime you are close to Some WiFi networks? I get them All the time because My WiFi is not completely off.
It doesn't need to be simple to me because I understand how it works. Yes before you HAD to go to settings to enable disable WiFi and BT. Then along came CC that allowed that same function in another place so now you had two places to do the same thing. Now in 2017 they have added another option/feature for those who simply want to disconnect and not totally disable WiFi and BT. BUT they didn't take away anything from those who for whatever reason want to totally turn on/off WiFi and BT constantly. You can still do so just like always, via the settings app that been there since iOS 1, OR via 3D touch on the settings app. So you see there are two ways to do what you want and only one way to do what I and others want. Simple enough?Let's try this again. Before the advent of this new "feature", wi-fi , bluetooth etc had 2 states. On-Connected, Off-Disconnected. What I am saying here is that this simple binary operation has now been changed to 3 states : On-Connected, On-Disconnected, Off-Disconnected. This has nothing to do with where i have to traverse to either in setting or wherever. Also Connected , Disconnected by themselves mean nothing, it is the state of some device, like wifi is connected or disconnected, and it can only do so when the device is on or off, not independently. There is no connect without on. Hope that is simple enough.
What did you do before Control Center existed?

In fact it does claim to be "off" because it is a flat designed icon like the Cellular icon. If you click the Cellular icon in the same pane it in fact turns it off (confirm in Settings after clicking the icon in control panel). It, bluetooth and wifi icons, both react the same way they go from colored to black just like Cellular. Its inconsistent at best and lying at worse. As someone mentioned, it should have a line through it or some other icon indicator that it is "disabled" not "off" to black. Heck, clicking "airplane mode" has a line through both icons in control panel and bluetooth and wifi are "off" in Settings. Hows that for inconsistent and confusing.
As I mentioned, if they're not going to change it, and I don't think they will because well its Apple, I think a "happy compromise" is they add a specific "on/off" control panel for bluetooth and wifi in control center or at least an additional option (deep press option on the icon after deep press on the wifi/bluetooth device?) to fully turn "on/off" in control center. Isn't that why we're supposed to be able to customize it? That way people who want one or both panes can have it because apparently unlike the many versions before it, they changed the expected behavior *most* people expect it means off.
As an aside I've never had bluetooth "re-connect" after clicking the "disconnect to connect" sequence in control panel successfully. I've always had to force a reconnect through settings. Apparently they've also added some weird timeout if it doesn't connect successfully (both bluetooth and wifi) after a few iterations it gives up and never does it again automatically. So a quick function to disconnect bluetooth (nor wifi for that matter) has never been helpful to me than a full and quick access to off and on function for both devices.
The problem is that the sizes that used to be listed there were often not what ended up being downloaded due to delta updates/app slicing/etc. So, while I would like to see the app sizes get listed by apps, it would really only make sense if they could list the actual sizes of what's actually going to be downloaded. What about te update size that went invisible after the iOS 11 update in the app store?
Is there a fix for that too?
I like to see What size certain app updates are before updating so I Can decide wether to update right away over cellular or wait until I have a WiFi connection.
Seems like by this thread alone there are plenty of people that are gaining something that is useful for them with this change. It would be hard to say that there's "absolutely nothing" for most users.Yes, its hilarious. People are actually defending and coming up with explanations here such as control center isn't used that way etc...

Im not worried, i just want to be able to quickly turn things off like i have for several years now. There is absolutely nothing gained for most users, just loss.
Then again, I am still on 10.3.3 and wont upgrade for a year likely anyway.
That was literally the first setting I turned off when I got my first iPhone 3G and it has been off ever since. And you don’t get those irritating pop ups everytime you are close to Some WiFi networks? I get them All the time because My WiFi is not completely off.
It seems like that's where a lot of the issues might be stemming from: it seems that various people don't even know about some really basic settings that are present and available and have been there for a long time. They would have some way of using their phone because that's what they first stumbled on or someone told them or something like that, even if that's really not even the best way of doing things and there are other settings that would be better for them. There has been a setting to disable that annoying popup since like iOS 3... (its call Ask to Join Networks)
This feature is really really great for those of us deeper in the Apple ecosystem with an iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, iPad, etc who bought all of those products because of how well they work together. To me, it appears that between Siri, 3D Touch, multitasking, auto-join, and Ask to Join Networks Apple is still giving plenty of options for those complaining about turning off their wifi in public.
Good to know. Thank you for your yuge input.I'm staying on IOS 10 for now. Maybe by the time IOS 12 is ready for release, Apple will have fixed all the issues with IOS 11.
And you don’t get those irritating pop ups everytime you are close to Some WiFi networks? I get them All the time because My WiFi is not completely off.
I actually prefer the way iOS 11 handles the radio toggles in Control Center. Rarely do I ever really want to turn off WiFi; I just want to get off of a slow network. With a simple tap, I can hop off the network and my phone will still join subsequent WiFi networks. Will Devs PLEASE provide feedback for bluetooth/wifi in control center to actually turn the functions OFF!!?!? It wasn't really lag or performance issue, but basically an animation interaction bug, and it was already fixed in the first 11.2 beta.Did they fix the laggy, under-performing calculator?
uh no its not.Um ok, there is 1: ON, 2: OFF, (these are in settings) then 3: DISCONNECT, 4: CONNECT (these two are in control center.) And they are independent of each other. You can disconnect without turning off. Now of course the connect wont work if OFF is selected in settings.

Try to 3D touch the settings app. There it is!
Then disable the "ask to join networks" feature. And you don’t get those irritating pop ups everytime you are close to Some WiFi networks? I get them All the time because My WiFi is not completely off.
