Installed new iOS 14 beta and be careful as you will lose a lot of storage. I went from just under 190gb in storage to just over 123gb and the loss is storage is all down to other system data. Wondering if anyone else has experienced that issue. View attachment 932290

Digging the update so far. I do notice that 43GB is being taken up of my 64GB SE. Only 28GB is used on my 11 Pro. But again, I still have plenty of space available. The apps that I frequently use all seem to work without any issue.

Says the same thing on my iPhone 11 Pro. I just used the iPadOS profile which when downloaded says iOS 14 and iPadOS 14.

Five minutes ago the iOS page said "If you have not upgraded to MacOS Catalina, you can backup using iTunes..."
Just now they updated it to say Big Sur, even though it makes no sense 🤣

With ios14 on iPad, does anyone know if you can bring up the dock, Notification Center, and control with Apple Pencil now? Or do you still have to use your finger?

Is there a list somewhere of apps that just won’t work with iOS 14 yet because the software vendor doesn’t recognize it? I always hate trying a beta release and then things like slingplayer or outlook or parkwhiz or something I use quite regularly don’t work till the official release.

Usually I jump string into beta but I am a little worried that some apps might not work. Some here seem to say that this beta seems pretty stable?!

Yup, had the same problem, just did a backup of iOS 14.0 and reset to factory settings, seem to have resolved the problem

Did you backup via iTunes or iCloud?

I have a theory that because of quarantine, some of the devs got pointed towards the backlog of bugs, as something they could work on in isolation, vs coordinating with a group to work on bigger projects. What I’ve seen (second/third-hand) of iOS 14 looks way better than the betas (or early releases) of iOS 13.

Just had a first look at iOS14: What I am missing is the possibility to use multiple apple-IDs for AppleTV and app-store.
It doesn’t seem possible to stay logged in with one appleID while using another appleID for movies and the appstore.
Has anyone observed this, too?

For me this is the worst beta ever. My phone restarts a few times every day and videos on safari also crashes my phone. What device do you have I wonder. I have 11 pro max
And my barclays bank app does not work either 😊

Barclays are aware and will be issuing an update on 1s August, although the Barclaycard app does work, which is not far off the same thing, it’s what I’m going to be using until the update is released.

Assuming this is the same as the beta 2 release, then COVID exposure tracking is broken, so please don’t install on a daily driver if you’re in a country that has a COVID tracking app.

Was bit impatient and installed without backing up..! I trust iCloud ans Dropbox. Hopefully, will be fine. So far no issue.
