Did you ever have any issues with your Mac not showing the handoff icon in the dock?
Wait, there's supposed to be a Handoff icon in the Dock? I've never seen it. And yes, I'm running iOS 8.1 on my iPhone. Does it only appear when there's a call or SMS coming in on one's phone, or should it always be there in the Dock?

No its related to handoff not SMS or calls. It appears when you're using an app on an iOS device which supports handoff to your Mac, like Messages, Pocket, Maps etc.

I haven't had any WiFi issues until a few days ago. It's strange that it worked fine for two weeks and now starts to break.

I wouldn't mind if they fixed any of these:
  1. Time Machine
    • Graphical glitches
    • Inability to move to older backups from any other folder than root.
  2. xCode
    • Crashes a lot without any message.
  3. Finder
    • Sometimes not viewing catalogue contents. Dependant on sidebar width.
I haven't had any other bugs. Some text misalignments etc.

UI Issues - Fix Helvetica Blurry Font for Non-Retinas

I know a lot of people don't mind Helvetica Neue system wide and are happy, but it's seriously a legibility issue for me and others with non-retinas, and some retina displays and the resultant effect is eye strain. The font isn't crisp, it's too thin, light, and cloudy, at times blurry, and too small in the menus and apps like Safari and Mail which makes it hard to read (even after changing all potential settings to increase contrast).

I'm really hoping that Apple addresses this font legibility issue with this release and allows for a choice to have Lucinda Grande system wide for non-retina displays. I really miss the crisp clear darker font of Mavericks for functionality. I'm not feeling very confident that this will happen with this release though.

- fixes a wake from sleep issue on macs NOT compatible with yosemite

Hopefully they fix it for compatible ones too, mine is part of an untold number of '12 mac minis that since beta 2 wake up from deep sleep to an unresponsive login screen. force shut down or no sleep bypasses it.

I actually don't have any new problems with OS X 10.10. I mean, there are surely a lot of bugs but I don't seem to use OS X in a way to come across them.

I do have an old one though!

Safari locking up my entire machine, forcing a shutdown. Interestingly though, Yosemite seems to show better fault information and now often tells me that the computer was shut down because of a graphics driver problem. So that's what's been plaguing me since at least OS X Mavericks?

It only happens in Safari though, not games. A bit funny. I assume Safari has some optimization voodoo in it that doesn't play well with at least my mid-2012 Macbook Pro Retina laptop.

I hope they fix the battery issue and random processes eating up cpu cycles.

My battery on a rMBP 15" dropped from 8 hours to 1 hr 30 mins using Yosemite.

The only bug i have since installation is a problem with Firefox.

I had to create new profile in application folder.

Modern dock looks like a throwback. No more 3D effect, no more transparency.

The main problem I've had since installing Yosemite (clean install) is the "Computer Name" of my MBPr keeps changing e.g.

[COMPUTER NAME] (1) - [COMPUTER NAME] (2) - [COMPUTER NAME] (3) - and so on...

This is causing havoc with my Time Machine backups!

Yeah, you can't get pre-release Yosemite updates if you are an iOS Dev (even though this wasn't true for the DP releases)

This is usually true. And there is no current Seed Configuration Utility in the iOS Dev Center for 10.10.1 Prerelease. But it did show up in the Mac App Store yesterday on my Mac mini that I use for iOS development. I had set up this Mac with the original Yosemite developer Seed Configuration Utility and had run the Yosemite developer releases starting with #3, but had installed the release version of Yosemite on top of the last developer preview.

If you turn of "Wake for network access" under "Energy Saver" in System Preferences it will never do that again.

Just don't understand how working code in Mavericks never made it into Yosemite. Like Wifi worked in Mavericks, why isn't it working in Yosemite? Did they purposely break the code?

All these working sub systems, battery, graphics, etc...now having problems don't make any sense to me.

Someone like to explain?

I've never understood this. Seems to be the norm lately. Let's break the code and see if any notices!

Does this update fix the menubar redraw that occurs when switching between multiple displays? Fingers crossed...

Airport Extreme or 10.10?

I don't know if this is a 10.10 bug, but Airport Extreme enables a guest network that doesn't let me sign on with 10.10 or an older OX on my six-year-old MBP. It also doesn't let a Windows 8.1 on the guest network.

Just bought new MBP-Retina and love it compared with my mid 2010 MBP. Both are on 10.10. The new MBP runs my two 27" monitors much more powerfully and smoothly than the old one.

So after downloading the beta, I am noticing a large improvement in most areas where a lot of us were having issues. The WiFi bug seems to have been addressed and page loads seem to have been loading much quicker. Apps have been launching faster, zooming in and out on pages is smooth, scrolling has been addressed and is working much better, the GPU performance has been much better so far. Overall, I am impressed so far with this improvement.

That is great news!

I'm a Day 1 user of Yosemite and have had 0 issues with anything.
My WiFi works as it should.
Could I just be lucky in that respect?

13" Mid 2012 Mac Pro
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

It appears only certain models are affected. We have 2 MBPr Mid-2012 in our household and none of the issues. Maybe 2012 was a good year? :D

Just the opposite for me. I have Yosemite on an early '08 MBP and find text easier to read.

I really hope it includes a fix for a really annoying bug in how Safari 8 handles CSS:

Whenever a page has a background image with a position set to the bottom of the viewport and the width set to fit the window, so for example:
Code:
background-position:bottom; background-size: cover;
The image is positioned about 50 px below the bottom of the window, making many sites look janky. No other browser does this.

If it isn't, please let Apple know about the issue via https://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

My exchange account from work essentially stopped working with Yosemite... so much so I had to disable it. hopefully this brings it back, or maybe not ;) Also in general my wifi works ok but it is noticeably stodgier then it were in Mavericks. slight delays, longer page load times, etc.
