Just a simple question.
Has anyone who registered there device without udid updated ota already ? If yes , does it work without bricking the device or beeing stuck in an unusable state ?

My friend has with his iPhone 5, says it updated OTA absolutely fine.

Can't you just go through the replies in this thread? This has been mentioned at least five times. The answer is, yes, you can update OTA without UDID.

Translucency now on the dock on iPhone 4. That's a major visual improvement.

Status bar text is now black on the home screen... unreadable depending on wallpaper color.

Typography now adapts to the background wallpaper color much more seamlessly instead of using solid white or black colors.

Noticed the dock is always blue regardless of background. As are folders. Compare beta 1 (left) to beta 2 (right) which shows the dock (font text is also still mostly illegible with this background):

And the folder color:

Also seeing a bunch of graphical redraw artifacts, in particular horizontal lines/flickering near the dock when exiting apps.

Can someone put up a comparison photo of beta 1 and beta 2 icons that have changed. Call me completely mad but i cant see much of a difference!!

BTW: Beta 2 is definitely a significant improvement over Beta 1 from first impressions -- especially in regard to multi-tasking. Switching between apps does not appear to be as glitchy (Using iPhone 5).

Can I suggest something to MR?

Please stop saying that "you must be a registered Apple developer" to download this, as the formulation is misleading.

I am registered but I am NOT able to download the betas.

The correct form would be: "You must be a paid Apple developer" or something like that in order to properly differentiate between those two categories of developers - those who are registered for free (with limited/nonexistent access to beta downloads) and those who pay.

Thanks.

Done...thanks for the suggestion.

Did anyone's Facetime app icon disappear? I can see it in spotlight search, but its missing from my home page after I moved a few things around.

I still don't get why "Songs" is under "More...". They made Radio the first class citizen, and made it hard to get to the actual iPod functionality.

You can change what you see on the bottom dock.

Tap "More" in the music app, and then in the top right, tap "edit". Drag and drop the icons you prefer.

I throw my hat in with those who loathe the new look of the icons. They really do have a very juvenile look to me, and the overall screen shot is very effeminate, though I'll allow the picture chosen for the background to contribute largely to that. The settings icon looks like a bicycle sprocket; it just needs a set of pedals to go with it!

I have to assume that Apple is waiting until the final release to actually reveal their hand for the actual iOS 7 design. Ive has shown that he knows what appeals, and I don't think this is it. I figure there's something much better in the final go.

In group messages, now you get an initial for each person next to their texts or small pic if you have that.

sorry if this was mentioned earlier.

Mac OS X 10.9 doesnt have them on the new calendar app either. i hope its not a feature ... makes the calendar in month view almost useless and its the only view i ever used ..

Your'e kidding me? Is the calendar still as good as a static picture in beta 2? Well that's crap.
