On a 3-month average between updates (10.5.7 has taken 4 months), that would put 10.6 out until at least January.
Snow Leopard can be released and Leopard still updated... they've done that with Tiger for example.

Why?
3 * 3 = 9. Nine months from now is January.
I just really hope that Apple has fixed the bug where the dock keeps popping up while watching a movie in QuckTime in fullscreen mode. It's so annoying!![]()
never had that problem!
Me too! I've complained to Apple, but they don't seem to care.I just really hope that Apple has fixed the bug where the dock keeps popping up while watching a movie in QuckTime in fullscreen mode. It's so annoying!![]()

Apple will release Snow Leopard this year, Probably no later than September.
Nah, I bet it's this week. Anyway I'm glad to see Apple is focusing on fixing sync issues.
The OS updates usually come on Tuesdays. So I don't know.
My 8600M GT fried yesterday so my MBP will be "in the shop" for a week or so. I hope I get it back before the update is released.
Why?No seriously, Why? That's kind of a bizarre statement to make so I'm just curious.
Apple needs to get the next version out the door before windows 7, so Apple can market it against Vista and MS can't compare W7 to the soon 'outdated' Leopard. There is clearly a race to be first, lets hope for a reasonable bug free release.

It's a bug with MobileMe syncing of preferences and Dock items. If you turn off syncing of those two things the issue goes away.

As already detailed in this thread, that is not correct. Updates are different than new product releases. They can be released on any weekday, with Monday having the most releases, historically.
