How is CarPlay working in iOS 13.1b2? I updated to b1 and it totally made CarPlay unusable about the time Acura FINALLY released a fix for the other issues their infotainment was having. I'd love to start being able to use it again.

I found CarPlay to be unusable in 13.1b so I also hope b2 brings better stability mine was hooked into Mercedes MBUX system won't know until I am back home tomorrow if its better

Best thing so far, LIVE PHOTOS back on on iPhone XR lock screen. Missed this from upgrading from an iPhone 7.

I have had that problem but it honestly had gone away for the most part. Did your car receive an over-the-air update in the last week or two? My 2019 RDX received one recently.

Yeah, got the update for my 2019 RDX too, but it still happens far too frequently. Seriously disappointed in this supposedly technologically advanced car. It's like it's constantly vying with CarPlay for control. Just shut up and disappear into the background already!

We are apple’s children. Not fathers, or mothers. iOS 13.1 GM will be released after iOS 13 has been released.

I would bet ridiculous amounts on this being incorrect. Thankfully, that statement is ridiculous in itself because I am just some dude in the internet. Regardless, iOS 13 GM will never officially exist and new phones will immediately prompt for a 13.1 update post phone setup.

No it hasn’t, it’s been smooth and predictable just like last year.

Great work.

Then you've been lucky I guess. The betas of iOS 13 have been awful, many apps simply don't work, Apple apps crash on launch occasionally. Even 13.1 B1 is nowhere near ready for release IMHO, it's horribly buggy. There's not much time to fix all of them either at the rate they've been going.

I ran through the public betas last year for iOS 12 and don't recall it being nearly as flaky as 13 has been - on the same iPhone X I am using this year.

YMMV.

10 betas and Mail and iCloud Drive are still a huge toxic hellstew of bugs

The fact that you may be having a problem does not mean everyone is having the same problem.

Are they really about to release iOS 13 the way it is??? That’s a scary thought to be sure.

Why? Working just fine here, and working just fine for plenty of other people. Like any software there are latent issues, but not to the extent to prompt "scary thoughts"

Having problems with Apple Music playing on my current XS Max, Apple Music starts playing after for example a call over my airPods without my permission, just a short dropdown UI that dissapears so quickly and the App isn't even open. It also turns on my car radio and does the same thing, music starts playing but the Music App isn't open. This isn't a beta problem, is it ? Does anyone else have a similar issue?

Not seeing it here yet, but we're just right around the corner!
[doublepost=1567616792][/doublepost]Anyone else holding out for a 13.0 GM, or have we given up on that thinking they'll do 13.1 GM?

You already have 13.0 GM installed.

All three models of iPhone 11 ship with iOS 13.1.0

Might as well be predicting whether it will rain on July 2, 2040

(I only use iCloud Drive very casually, and while it's worked 100% for me, I won't talk about its stability since I'm not a heavy user of it.)

But, I use Mail quite heavily across half a dozen accounts. The only bug Mail has had for me over the last several betas has been a bit of a lag between the Unread messages count and how many are actually unread. Even that has gotten better, but could still be improved.

But that's it. It's hardly a 'huge toxic hellstew of bugs'.

Did you read about iCloud before you updated?

iCloud

Known Issues
  • You might be unable to delete the Recovered Files folder in On My iPad/iPhone. (54785368)

Workaround: Back up your device, erase it, restore from backup, then try again.

  • After updating to iOS 13 beta 6 or later, iCloud Drive might synchronize for an extended period of time. If you notice any missing files, they can be found in a Recovered Files folder under On My iPhone/iPad within the Files app. (53772753)

  • When creating a new Pages, Numbers, or Keynote document in a shared folder, you might see the message: "Couldn't connect to iCloud." (50827963)

Workaround: Close and reopen the document.

No one reads anything, and they expect it to work just like a release.

Beta 1 was respringing every few minutes for me. Months away from a proper release. If this keeps going 13 will be a disaster release for Apple. Not seeing stability before 13.3 or 13.4 next year at this pace.

13.0b8 has been exceptionally stable for me. Beta 1 and 2 were really rough. 3 was better, but still rocky. From 4 on it started gelling.

I wish iOS 13 would release right after the keynote. Really want to update.

I would fully expect 13.1b1 to be less stable than 13.0b8. Possibly a lot less stable. There shouldn't be any expectations that 13.1b1 would be more stable than 13.0b8; just the opposite.

Having problems with Apple Music playing on my current XS Max

I have noticed when using the Radio function in Apple Music, it will play 2 songs or so, then go and repeat those same 2 songs over and over. This has happened in 3 different vehicles with multiple pre-set stations (Hard Rock, Classic Rock, etc). Anyone else seen this too?

I had that issue with one of the later 13.0 previews, but I don't think I've had it on 13.1 yet.

I continue to have the problem of dragging an app from a folder in the dock to be able to multitask. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Why would you expect that? 13.0 was awful, it's like they gave up and jumped to 13.1 instead. 13.0.x was never going to be a viable release from what I could see. I would expect a .1 release to be an improvement over .0, not a step back.
