As far as I can tell thus far, yes... it appears the signal has to go beyond -110db

That would be like no other product/carrier that uses wifi calling ever. I could understand if it were all iPhones handled it that way but popping in Tmobile sim full bars I get wifi calling all day. Another poster isn't having that issue

Why is it such an issue? Seems to me that staying on cellular unless the cell signal was crappy and have it fall over to wifi is an ideal solution...but then I've only had the wifi calling less than 3 hours... :)

Your right on it being a non issue. Was just hoping for more clarity. when you turn on wifi calling you turn it on. You don't read anything that says btw it won't be on at all until you really need it. Lol

Seems like that's how it's spelled out by the carriers in their information, like the linked AT&T information in an earlier reply, for example.

Thanks for your opinion, and the user written article that was provided. That's probably correct. I will wait for updated info from Verizon when available.

Well, again, at least in the case of AT&T (given that AT&T was referenced in a post you made about all of this earlier), it seems that it's not really my opinion, but stated information directly from AT&T, as quoted and referenced/linked in my earlier reply at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...lic-beta-testers.1955637/page-4#post-22557150

4 bars. Are you saying you think it only goes to wifi when your strength is low? That's definitely not how it works with Tmobile or ATT. Doesn't matter the strength...

That is indeed how it works on AT&T. Wi-Fi calling does not kick in until you hit 2 bars. Otherwise it is cellular.

Anyone else able to download and install on cellular? I was able to without issue.

I just turned off my network extender and it shows Wi-Fi in the top left. I am on Verizon.

I have 2-3 'dots' on verizon in my house and am told half the time that I'm 'garbled'. I end up having to go out on the porch to clear it up.

That has been possible for a while. I'm on 9.0.2 and it already does this. On 8.4 adding to a playlist added the song to my library, or the entire playlist's songs.
Huh. I didn't see this option on iTunes, so I assumed that it was new. Do you know how to get it to work with iTunes?

How about password protected camerra roll and photo stream and any albums or app folders? Or apps .
I have personal material there too .. Not just in notes!

Notes are probably more likely in general to potentially contain more sensitive information as far as plenty of people likely storing some financial numbers in them or some identity related information or some username/password information (as bad as that is). I guess they have to start somewhere.
