So the SE will be the new testing ground for technology. Whatever we see here will determine the flagship products for the rest of the year. It'll be an all liquidmetal body with a retina OLED display and dual lens camera system powered by a new A9se chipset featuring desktop-class processing power, 4GB RAM and discreet graphics. The smaller screen and thicker form factor not only make it a dream to hold, but increases the battery life to effectively run for double the time the current 6S+ manages. It'll eschew the headphone jack in favor of a USB-C type connector. It'll have uncrackable security thanks to a brand new file format.

It's raining here... I was looking out the window and daydreaming.

If I can remember correctly, one of the things Jobs would've never wanted Apple to be was a fashion company. I guess that's what happens when you hire the former CEO of Burberry to take over as Retail VP.
Considering the hundreds of billions of dollars Apple makes selling tech hardware... I wouldn't say they are a fashion company.

They sell a watch and some watch bands... sure... but that doesn't make them a fashion company.

I think we may be in for a few surprises at this event, iPads, iPhones (low end), Watch bands and iOS 9.3 will all be highlighted of course.

Craig said in a recent interview about a big update coming to iTunes, I wonder if that will get some screen time..

Doubt it. They are holding the event at a small, low key auditorium on the Apple Campus. This is one step above just issuing a press release. Don't expect anything groundbreaking here b/c otherwise they would have gone to a larger venue.

Sell your stocks before the event. It's going to be very underwhelming and it'll take a hit.

Nope. It's baked into the price. There is no mystery surrounding this event thus expectations are already set low. There is nothing to disappoint shareholders. Maybe fans, but different issue. Of course stock traders my sell, but they are always selling. If you are a stockholder then you base your investment over a longer period of time than one event.

There is no way they are going to pimp out the SE!

No... Why should those who want a 4in phone be punished with an inferior device? Besides, I remember at one point Apple would brag about the fact that each one of their products contains their premium features. Just goes to show you how far they have drifted away from what made them great.
Hey... at least Apple is offering something in a 4" size.

But if the rumors of the A9 processor is true... the iPhone SE will be a beast. That sounds premium to me.

The only way to get a smaller phone from other manufacturers is by getting a slower or older phone.

Samsung's latest flagship starts at 5.1"

Yeah, I know. I'm just trying to imagine a scenario that'd make this event wow me in any way. *shrug* I guess I should be happy to be so satisfied with all my Apple gear that I don't feel a need for anything else. #firstworldproblems.

(Without having read all 5 pages, yet)

Am I the only one who's quite sure the "loop" doesn't refer to watch bands? That, imho, would indeed be pretty lame as the headliner.

I call induction charging.

Part of me seriously wonders if they will announce the end of the Mac and OS X. Their laptop lineup is at least a year behind the competition as far as basic specs are concerned (the macbook air display is arguably half a decade behind). And it would make sense to focus all resources on developing one software ecosystem (iOS) instead of on two embarrassingly disjoint ones.

Really? Microsoft is more likely to end its Windows OS than Apple to end OS X. In case you haven't noticed Apple is selling more Macs year over year and gaining market share in the decreasing PC space. They are dominating the personal use and personal budget space of the market as well.

They won't. The Mac is still a necessary for users.
I am hoping for a MBP refresh with some Skylake love this year.

Oh wow I don't know why those little invite cards get me so hyped!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they work as a Rorschach test, and we see what our subconscious tells us to see.
Of course Apple is studying this very thread, and they already classified psychopats, impulsive personalities, and another bunch of psych disorders. It seems that whoever contributed to this thread has the "impulsive buying disorder", and Apple is very proud of that.

Since there is no Watch or iMac in your signature, you are disqualified from the "impulsive buying disorder" category!

:)

Has to be new loops for the 5th generation iPod touch!

Sure. And by "new" we speak about new colors!

Loop me in, Apple.

What's a "Psychopat"? Is that like a putty tat? I taught I taw a putty tat?" I did I did see a putty tat!" ?

Why is the stock going to take a hit? It's not like Apple is booking the biggest venue in San Francisco for this. Nor has Tim or anyone else set expectations for something big.
Because it's the market? When has it ever been rational?

Anyone else think the large oval coming from the top left look like a finger "force touching" the top of the apple? A la the first Apple Watch video or the 3d touch video from the iPhone 6s event....
