And if i live in AZ/HI or another place without DST? Yes, Spring forward/Fall back are mnemonic devices to help remember which way the clock goes. Yes, I get it's most likely for the watch...but not genius level. Clever yes...genius no. Besides isn't it on the 8th this year to spring forward?

ohh, Arizona

My condolences ;)

don't know what "baja Ontario" means, as i'm not familiar with Baja.

"Baja" means "lower" in Spanish. Geographically, it's used to refer to the southern part of something -- there is a section of Mexico directly south of Claifornia called Baja California. There are some touristy areas there, but most of the region is poor. So "Baja Ontario" suggests that Buffalo is the south (and seedy) part of Ontario.

These Apple Watch threads have been running into hundreds, if not thousands of posts - - but when the big day comes next month...

Get ready for Armathreaddon!

If this truly is an Apple watch event, it has peculiar timing. It's at least a full month before it's release. Either it's something else (iPad Pro, MBA) or they have some significant new features that would require such a time lag. Maybe something for developers??

Remember for iPad/iPhone they always have the event a week and a half before release. And for the iPhone/iPad initial launch sure they announced months in advance, but I don't believe they had another whole media event dedicated to announce it's launch/further details...

Given the timing and the puns, it could hardly be anything but an Apple Watch event.

There's a lot that isn't yet known about them, so there's plenty of content for an event.

I guess there's even a chance Apple will surprise us with a slightly early release, but I think it's more like: Event March 9, Preorders start March 13, Watch drops April 3.

It's not that far off previous iPhone patterns, and having it just as Daylight Savings Time starts might have been part of the temptation. It's a US-centric thing, but that is their home market.

Probably the biggest reason not to preannounce products too far in advance is that it kills interest in your current generation of products and, of course, that doesn't apply for something like this.

thanks for the clarification.

Nah, we already have "Baja" ontario then. Thats Hamilton, also referred to affectionately by Ontarians as Ontario's Armpit.

The event's "Spring Forward" tagline ...

Apple Car confirmed!

Hmm...

Something with a spring in it... A new thing that you wind up? With a mainspring that charges a battery? No. Can't figure it out.

I couldn't care less about the watch if I tried....really hope we see something else at the event, but I don't think we will.

I got a feeling!

I gotta feeling... this is it...the time is now....this is the big date.... for the release of the......

MAC MINI TOWER!

Finally! An event that isn't at the end of the year! Can't wait!:apple:

I hope to see an iPod touch 6. I know it's unlikely but I can keep dreaming...

What does being British have to do with you getting home on time?

This forum is read by people in various time zones. So I guess he mentioned he was British to explain why he would be coming home at the time of the Apple event. Most of the U.S. will be trying to figure out if we can get away with going in to work late or sneak away for an extended lunch.

Photos app for Mac please. This iCloud Photo Library limbo is confusing enough for me and I am an Apple-geek. Imagine trying to explain this to my wife and parents:eek::rolleyes:

The big streaming screwup was two events ago. The last event went smoothly.

When have they had an event at the end of the year?

I meant september/ october which I think we can consider the end of the year:D
