I'm personally not excited about the Apple Watch at this point but I know I'll definitely be watching the event if it's streamed live.

Nice, looking forward to see this event. Just hope something else besides the watch but I doubt Apple will share the spotlight.

This is the one day I might not be able to get home on time (I'm British)

Why is it on Monday?

Y u do dis to me Apple?

True! Their events are usually held on Tuesdays.

I'm away from home all day Monday, Tuesday would have been better for me.

I really hope they will stream the event so I could watch it on my iDevices from wherever I'll be that day. :apple:

I bet Apple planned their entire release around Daylight Savings. They didn't want to release before Daylight Savings, only for early adopters to immediately notice that the :apple:Watch, a device whose main purpose is to tell time, crashes when we shift between DT and DST.

How many bugs related to that transition has Apple had over the years across all their product lines now?

Now I wonder if the Spring event is a regular for Apple to launch the newest Watch. I hope it doesn't eventually get thrown in with the other products in Autumn. It's nice to space things out.

Spring - Watch
Summer - iOS/OS X Launches/New Macs
September - iPhone
October - iPad/Mac

Seems a far better way to do it than putting it all at the end.

they've already said the starting price is $349. Why would they raise it to $599?

Was joking... But I'm really curious to see it... Was the dev kit released? Is there any app yet? I still believe that it gonna just be an announce and real sales will come in 2 months... And what about battery? Lol I saw a Samsung gear watch at shop and this is ridiculous... So how can apple revolution the world? And as a Swiss citizen how they gonna blow out hand made watch market??

If this truly is an Apple watch event, it has peculiar timing. It's at least a full month before it's release. Either it's something else (iPad Pro, MBA) or they have some significant new features that would require such a time lag. Maybe something for developers??

Remember for iPad/iPhone they always have the event a week and a half before release. And for the iPhone/iPad initial launch sure they announced months in advance, but I don't believe they had another whole media event dedicated to announce it's launch/further details...

I'm hopin for an April 3rd launch. That's Good Friday and that's a company holiday where I work, I was planning on taking a day off for it anyway, but this saves a vacation day for me.

I have Apple watch burnout.

feeling it too

after my MBA crapped the bed this week though, I'm hoping to see if they announce the new 12"'s at this.

Or maybe a new iPad (the pro?)

either way, if it's JUST for the Watch, going ot pass up watching.

Either way

March is going to be exciting times for mobile. New revisions from at least 2 major flagship android phones. The Apple Watch, possibly new tablet or MacBook's (maybe a refresh to mac pros?), New Tablets from the competition.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again

We live in sci-fi. I read books growing up that explained the future just like we have today. and it's thrilling to live in such techologically interesting times"

The clocks don't go forward in the UK until 29th March, I'm not quite sure which way it'll affect us though, whether it'll be 5pm or 7pm. I think it will make it 5pm our time but if someone could clarify?

All Apple event times are Pacific. We'll be on Daylight time stateside, so instead of being 8 hours behind, it will be 7 hours behind London.

I bet Apple planned their entire release around Daylight Savings. They didn't want to release before Daylight Savings, only for early adopters to immediately notice that the :apple:Watch, a device who's main purpose is to tell time, crashes when we shift between DT and DST.

The only issue I see with this is that the clock moves FORWARD in California by an hour the previous day. Most countries don't move forward an hour on March 8. This means that people in different countries that do calculations of when this event starts, might miscalculate by an hour and miss the first hour of the presentation.
