So the first thing Apples does in the post-TV-era is to create a show about an outdated TV-genre, which rather caters to the generation X than to millenials, who didn't even grow up with a TV?
Of course, because generation X have had their time!

I’ll be interested to see what Apple’s business model is here. Will they offer a few shows for free too get people interested? Or will they come in at a super low price like Disney? That looks truly awful. If this is your sort of thing, then cool i guess. Let's hope Apple has something else worth seeing.
Agreed. Now I have a reason to consider subscribing. If some of the other shows look half as well made and interesting then I might just ‘take the plunge’.This looks like quality and something I'd watch.
To some people commenting above: if it's not for you, it doesn't mean it's bad. It's just not for you. And that's fine.

According to Pew Research the millennial cohort is those born from 1981 to 1996. They absolutely grew up with television. Also what’s wrong with catering to Gen X?So the first thing Apples does in the post-TV-era is to create a show about an outdated TV-genre, which rather caters to the generation X than to millenials, who didn't even grow up with a TV?

And you want Apple TV+ to be a clone of We TV/Lifetime?So you want Apple TV+ to just be a clone of Netflix and HBO?
I don't live it in the USA but are people really interested in that kind of series (from Apple)?
I'd hope they would make a killer show like GOT or Stranger Things, something that people can easily understand and watch. I thought that was the point of Apple's streaming service - to compete with Netflix, Hulu, HBO etc.
Whilst I welcome a change from what seems never ending trickle of super hero shows and spin offs, not sure this type of melodrama "a TV show about a TV show" will gather much following nor success.
It could be that ATV+ is short-lived if they only opt for this type of thing.
TV shows have access to movie-grade equipment and editing technology these days, and there's plenty of behind-the-scenes talent working on the small screen. Ever seen Mr. Robot? Is this a tv show or a movie? The cinematography and color grading makes me think movie, but I thought it was a series.
Oh that’s disappointing. Thought there might be some promise in this show as I like aniston. But I’m just not interested in the lives of vacuous tabloid fodder morning show tv presenter personalities whether in real life or dramatised.
who the heck is in charge of commissioning at Apple ? They are going to be at risk of damaging their brand. Come on Apple get it together.
Yes, because people have different tastes.
I hope not otherwise comedy as i know it is dead

First and foremost - get the Talent
And people also have different "channels" to purchase. Since that is Apple's goal, perhaps they should focus on a genre. Keep it simple. Sci-fi seems to fit best and oh look, it's usually among the top watched. Think different?

they will have to charge alacarte. They don’t have the content library to do a subscription service.
