I just bought the red apple silicone case today at the Apple Store and it seems to have a defect by the volume buttons, it's not sitting right and there is a small black mark and nick.

Can I call apple and get a replacement? Or do I actually have to go back to the store? I live about an hour away and don't get there often...

:/

I'm almost certain they will replace it for you. Just give them a jingle. May have to ship them the old case with receipt or something.

In store absolutely, no issue. By mail just require a little extra work on your part to mail it to them.

I picked up a green silicone case today for my space gray 6. Apple nailed it with this case! The fit, finish, feel, grip and look is fantastic! I also have an olive brown leather case, which I love as well.

Yeah I have the green as well and it's holding up fine. I've gone through multiple cases and have taken mine off a lot too but don't seem to have these "tearing" issues.

So far, it's the best case out there. If Apple would have just sealed the bottom up it would be *the* case to get.

----------

I ended up returning the case due to the fact that it's too high end price for something that won't protect your phone.

Care to elaborate on this? Yes it's a little bit higher than most cases but how does it not protect your phone?

Yes, I'm setting you up for this because there are numerous drop-test videos with the Apple silicone case and it scores very well considering its minimalist design.

Now that I think about it, given the lip this case has and how snug it fits, a design with a bottom covered just wouldn't have been feasible.

The iPhone 5s and 5c cases didn't have this issue because the cases didn't have a lip that extended slightly over the screen this these cases do.

Just pondering on the idea, if the case had the bottom covered it would have been near impossible to install and remove the case without having it in multiple pieces given the exact fit and sturdiness of the material it's made of.

I have gone through 4 black leather cases. So yesterday I picked up the black silicone the fit is much better than all 4 leather cases I had. I still have the leather but after this last swap I give up on the leather.

The fit on the sides is horrible I can squeeze and feel the sides move. It's not a very snug fitting case.

The silicone fits tight as a glove. Perfect. But I think. I want green or blue. Just to change things up. I've always stuck to the norm of black cases. The blue and green are really nice and bright.

Trying to pick up black but sold out everywhere here. Just for fun I checked California stores and Georgia. All available. The northeast must not got a shipment yet. Bummer.

"Black" and red silicone cases for the 6 Plus. Just noticed a chunk missing on the "black" version.

No pics, but I snagged a black (gray) case for my 6 yesterday. It replaces the Spigen Case Ultra Hybrid I bought for launch day.

Overall - excellent case. Probably one of my favorite cases on any device I've owned so far. It feels surprisingly thin compared to the Spigen and far less plasticky. It's grippy without being sticky, although it does pick up a minimal amount of pocket lint and dust. It's also really subtle, which I like. I hate cases that try to draw attention to the apple logo or are otherwise flashy.

I didn't try the leather (based on mixed reviews here) but I'm pretty happy with the silicone case.

I'm gonna try another Apple Silicone case tomorrow, Apple Store is 5 mins from me and I can't find anything else in stores I like better. I'll try to be more careful, but if it starts tearing within 14 days I'll return again and find something from Amazon.

That is exactly what happened to mine. I ended up returning it and getting a black leather case. One because the silicone cases are a bit bright, and two because I felt the leather made it easier to adjust my grip when one handed and to pull the phone out of my pocket.

Can we just walk in and ask, showing them the case? Or do we have to bring a receipt or original packaging? Honestly thinking about this as well.

I had a small chunk come off my black silicone as well. Exchanged it and switched colors at the same time to the red. I was taking the case off and on a lot, so I might have caught it with a fingernail. Hope my current one holds up a bit better. Love the thinness and feel from these cases, but they need to last.

I've got the Apple leather case, midnight blue colour, on my Space Grey iPhone 6.

Personally, for me, it adds a firm grippy texture, having the leather one over the silicone one. Also, looking at some of the pics of the silicone colours above - notably the red and black (looks more like grey?), even I can see the lint on those pics above (especially the black/grey version) so I can just imagine what the case must be like when it comes out a pair of jeans!

My leather case attracts absolutely ZERO lint whatsoever. Also, it I sit it on my desk, the leather has a very very slight sticky texture in that, it will not slide about if you touch it - something which I think, the silicone case WILL do.

I have had my case since the 19th September and have experienced NO discoloration of the leather nor any peeling issues which someone else mentioned earlier! Only negative is that the price (around £35 from the Apple Store) is a complete rip off, but there you go!

Pictures of the pink silicone case. I have a gold 6. I returned the leather case because it fit loose and was showing bad signs of wear after 5 days. I don't regret my choice at all. I love this case. No pictures with the phone in it because my phone is my camera. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413213790.389131.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1413213800.906152.jpg

Apple Silicone Case

After using the black leather case on my iPhone 6 + for the past week, I picked up a red silicone today. Man, the buttons are sooooo much more responsive. Grip is good as well. Think I may keep both. Leather for work and red for fun. ;-). Will have to see how it goes for a week or so with the silicone one.

I love the red on the space grey color.

I just noticed a tear in the lower right corner of my red case. I'm going to have to run to an Apple Store this weekend and exchange it. I haven't treated the case particularly roughly. I've taken it off a few times, but if removing the case two or three times in two weeks is enough to make it tear, that's not a good sign.

Maybe something just snagged on it. I hope that's it because I do love the case otherwise.

Nope. Happened to me too.

The leather is weakly wrapped over at the corners.

I really like your pink case. I have the white one which I love on my silver plus. I've purchased the pink cover for my iPad but it seemed more like a salmon color than a proper pink. Yours looks like a normal pink.

Is there a skin that can protect the exposed bottom? Id get the case if i can find something for the bottom part

I have had the Apple leather and silicon cases. I dropped the phone in the leather case on a rug at my house from waist height, and it took a nick out of the corner. The silicon case was nice but the plastic shell popped through the silicon at the bottom. I returned both the leather and silicon case, they are overpriced in my opinion.

This $15 insignia case feels great in the hand and is extremely thin. It won't offer much for drop protection, but will keep the phone from getting scuffed or dinged, and takes away the slippery feel. It also is smooth, not grippy, like the silicon. It also covers the bottom, and fits perfectly.

Thanks! I love it too. It's the perfect shade of pink. Very bright which is what I wanted.

Yea, Same on mine, the edge along the screen is fairly delicate I discovered. I just ran my finger under the lip when trying to remove the case about where the power button is and it just ripped. Just a small gash but it bugs me.
