Apple Silicone Case

Did stores in your area have it in stock? Because it's unavailable for shipping for me.
No stores in my area have any Apple cases in stock. I pre-ordered the green silicone case on 10/1. I received an email last night that the item is currently unavailable and is on backorder...expected delivery between 10/17 and 11/5. Oh well, I'll just sit sight and keep checking with the best buy stores in my area; can always cancel the online order and grab at the store when/if it becomes available. I am using a $10 rewards certificate that expires on 10/18.
It's out of stock just about everywhere. E-Bay sellers have a few of them for sale for just a few $$ more than the retail price. I got mine for $42 shipped - which with tax would be the same as the in-store price.
I get that, I bought mine at an Apple Store. He said he bought his at Best Buy however and no Best Buys in my area have them in stock plus it's not available for shipping so I was wondering if his area already had stock
Still pretty happy with my blue silicone since I swapped it from the original apple leather case I bought. I admit though it attracts a lot of lint depending on what you are wearing.
At work it isn't to bad because I wear dress pants so the case normally has a little lint coming out of my pocket a lot each day but not to excessive. However I went to a concert the other night and wore my jeans. I just had the phone in my back pocket and noticed after the concert it was covered in blue lint.
I know this is the nature of silicone but it's still slightly annoying. I still love how it feels and not sure I would want to go back to the apple leather case (QC wise I think the silicone is made better). I don't want this to be a deal breaker with me so hopefully it doesn't become one. Honestly, I don't like the idea of having to wipe the case off every time it leaves my jeans.

Is the silicone case prone to fingerprints or oily smudges? Thinking of getting a leather apple case for my iPhone 6 space grey in a few hours but everyone's saying the silicones better. Let me know asap haha.
I get a few smudges now and then but they wipe right off. Honestly leather picks up smudges just as easy. My issue is the amount of lint it picks up but I think the depends on the clothing and silicone is like that for the most part.
My friend had a the grey one and took it back the next day to get another color in silicone. The grey doesn't pick up lint/dust any worse than the other colors but it is more noticeable.
Ah..I guess I'll go feel the model ones on the table at the Apple Store to see. Thanks for the confirmation.
For those in my area, the Pasadena Apple Store has every color leather and silicone case in stock for both sizes as of 10/5. I picked up the Product RED for the 6plus. It is a tremendous case, and really looks great on my space grey plus. Its got great grip, and doesnt add much bulk to the phone.
I am torn, I love my Spigne Ultra Hybrid so much, but also love the Apple Silicone case as well, I just feel the spigen offers more complete drop protection, without much bulk.
But yeah the Apple silicone case rocks!

I ordered it on best buy even though it is backordered because I wanted to use my expiring reward zone cash on it.
Just got my red silicone case (one of the $42 eBay ones). Very happy with it. Feels great in hand and fits very snug. No real bulk to it. Will give it a run for a while, but I think my case search is over, for the exception of another color, maybe.
Yeah my Green is doing great so far and I love it. I actually had drop today and luckily the phone landed on the corner but the phone (and case) survived unscathed.
I decided to order the UAG case to see what the hype is all about... but I think it's going to be too bulky... I will find out tomorrow.

My wife has a blue silicone case for her iPhone 6. This past weekend she was running across a parking lot when her phone slipped out of her pocket and skidded across the pavement. My stomach dropped as I saw the 2 week old phone finally slide to a stop, glass side down.
Low and behold, not a scratch on the screen! Even with no screen protector. The phone? Perfect. The case? Some abrasions on the corner and side, but nothing big. After seeing that spill I am very glad we didn't opt to get one of those ultra thin cases that we have had in the past.

I just noticed a tear in the lower right corner of my red case. I'm going to have to run to an Apple Store this weekend and exchange it. I haven't treated the case particularly roughly. I've taken it off a few times, but if removing the case two or three times in two weeks is enough to make it tear, that's not a good sign.
Maybe something just snagged on it. I hope that's it because I do love the case otherwise.

Initially had a Speck CandyShell, but I returned it because of its thickness, and because it spins when on a flat surface. Ended up going back to my local Apple Store to see if they had any of the blue silicone case in, which they did. Been using this a couple of days now and I'm very happy with it, feels nice and doesn't stick in the pocket as much as other silicone cases I've used. A lot more rigid too, it doesn't wobble at all, phone snaps in quite snugly. Think I'll be using this one for a while.

She just got lucky, trust me. It happened to fall the right way. The apple case offers very minimal protection. It's good for preventing scratches on the back. Even the lip on the front is very small. Get a slim case with a bigger lip just to be safe. It is a nice case though.
I ended up returning the case due to the fact that it's too high end price for something that won't protect your phone. I ordered the tech 21 evo mesh ultra thin black version on the apple website. It's coming before the 21st of this month. And waiting for a glass screen protector by zero lemon. Saw a lot of 4/5 to 5/5 stars on amazon for them so gonna check that out! For now I'm just using a 5$ silicone case from the cellaris store and the glass screen protector from verizon. Cheaper than at&T stores. LOL
That is exactly what happened to mine. I ended up returning it and getting a black leather case. One because the silicone cases are a bit bright, and two because I felt the leather made it easier to adjust my grip when one handed and to pull the phone out of my pocket.
