Apple Silicone Case

I wasn't intending on using the silicone case as my main one but after visiting the store yesterday and purchasing the red one, I quite like it! It's got a high quality feel and it looks great with my space grey phone. It feels like it'd give protection against a drop or a fall, too. I may end up keeping this as my main case rather than purchasing the Luvvitt like I was planning to...

I've just picked up a red for my grey 6 as well - it really is a very nice combination. My local store was out of all the silicones except red, but I think that just helped me make the decision I'd have made anyway - I love a nice black/red combo.

The feel is great and it's much grippier than my Spigen Neo Hybrid, which was surprisingly smooth.

That said, still wouldn't want to drop the phone, regardless of case. Hence my plumping for something with grip.

Just got a black silicone (it looks more like dark grey...not as black as the black leather case) case for my Space Gray 6. It's great! Much pricier than what you would find on Amazon/eBay, but I like that the fit is very very snug, and the interior feels like it'll take care of the phone well. Does not add much bulk to the phone. Like others have said, it probably doesn't provide much drop protection. The case is more about raising the protruding lens above a surface to avoid scratching it and providing scratch protection...all while maintaining the original shape/profile of the phone.

Also, the silicone isn't sticky like other cases I've used. Dust will still stick onto it, but I don't have trouble pulling it out of jeans or anything like that. It adds more grip to the phone without being too grippy.

Thanks, but not really what she is looking for. Was hoping the member would post a picture of the gold iphone 6 in the white silicone case. Plenty of reviews that show the case with a space grey phone in it, but not with the gold. And since our local stores haven't had an white in stock it would have to be ordered online.

Bought the blue silicone case as a temporary until my Spigen arrived. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Apple case. Looks great, feels great.

When my Spigen case arrived it looked and felt cheap. Sent the Spigen back.

Can't recommend the silicone cases enough. Yeah it's ridiculously expensive but it's a quality case.

With all the praise that the silicone case is getting, i'm debating on exchanging my leather case for a silicone one once my local Apple stores get more in stock. More grip is never a bad thing.

You won't be disappointed. It does not have the typical cheap silicone feel to it. It's more rubbery and simply conforms beautifully to the phone.

I… personally found that video a little disappointingly dissuasive. It could just be the lighting not doing the material and texture justice, and I'd remain better of simply seeing it in person.

After buying a brown leather and then the silicone I was torn. I went and purchased the black leather and realized this is what I wanted. The silicone is great but I had to stay true. I had the black for my 5S.

I'm glad the tester notes the randomness involved in this sort of test. While I'm glad to see the silicone case do well here, it is worth noting that I shattered my 5S in the Apple leather case with a fall out of my pocket on to concrete.

In that instance it fell flat on its back, with no bounce whatsoever (similar to how the 6 in the leather case fell on the last drop in that test, but on the back). My screen more or less exploded.

I tried the silicone one on my 6 today into e store, and promptly bought the green one.

My Incipio dual pro is going back. I could hardly push the power button, and it has scratch it by the lightening connector (the edge of the case by it).

I'm happy, and i don't think I will be keeping my spigen card case when it arrives either.

Oh and the millenia mall store in orlando had a ton of them for the plus. Only green for the 6. Considering I had bought the same color in the Incipio, I was ok with green!

+1 on the silicone case. I have the silver 6+ with a green silicone case, and it looks nice (to me). I also ordered the blue one.

I looked at the white cases, but found them to be "not white enough" for my taste. I really like a stark white, and this one is kind of yellow in tone to my eye.

No prob. I forgot to mention the texture, it kind of soft and feels a bit like and eraser. I like it because it has a better grip than a hard case might have.

I want one of these cases, but I'm worried that the bottom being left exposed won't provide much protection in the case of a random drop on concrete or something.

Is there enough protection on the bottom?
And the lips on the front don't seem like they'd provide much protection, either.

The lip on the case is thick enough for me to be comfortable putting the phone face down on a clean surface. As for the bottom being exposed it doesn't really bother me. Most of the drops I've experienced with previous iPhones have damaged the edges ( I use a case when I first get a phone then slowly stop using them). I think you'd have to drop in an uneven area for it to just happen to hit the bottom center of the phone. I'm not saying to wouldn't happen though, anything is possible.

I have a silicone case for my Plus on the way but it is saying it will ship in October, anyone else in the same boat? In my experience Apple will under promise and over deliver shipping time wise so I am hoping it will ship early!

Which one feels less "bulky" I don't really like cases on my phone but just curious which one of the two is thinner feeling

They are both very similar. Both are thin. If I had to pick I would say the leather felt a little thinner in the hand.
