The fact that you interpreted it that way is a reflection of your mindset (negative).

I'm celebrating!

As a high volume Apple shareholder of over 20 years, these launches have pumped up my Apple portfolio to obscene heights. I got in with thousands of shares @ a mere $20 per share. Not bragging just making a point. The same Apple faithful that defend the brand & boast about the sales volume & valuation, will be the same ones to bash this post because I made a point.

It's a fickle very hypocritical group.

Yeah... I get to laugh, cause I hung in with Apple when everyone else said they were toast. Many years before iEverything.

Ha... Ha... Ha... :D

Cool story bro...

I wish the rumormill was churning a bit faster today. Work is going abnormally slow

I'm hoping for everything we've heard of so far about the iPhone 5, with a preorder on Friday morning when I get my commission check :p

Getting a bit old now, no?

Long in the tooth, I would say so myself.

mmmmm lets see you give specifics on how many stocks you have and what you purchased them at in a thread talking about apple uping their staff for a suspected pre order date? ;)

Apple vs. AT&T

This will be my first pre-order. I got my 3GS and iPad 2 after the launch.

Is it better to order on Apple vs. AT&T? I need to make sure I have the phone on launch day (as I am flying out of town the following Sunday).

Also, what is he consensus on Apple Care?

Finally, how does one activate the phone (and deactivate my current 3GS on AT&T)?

I greatly appreciate any information.

AT&T will just move you account to the new SIM card, you have to call them

As long as it's not Thursday since I'll be at work from 9am-1am :)

Doesn't really matter who you order through, but I have a feeling ordering through Apple will be easier.

Anyone know if it will be available off contract? Looking to buy a AT&T 16gb with no contract.

In the past I've read how people would sometimes get lucky and receive the iPhone in the mail a day earlier than the scheduled launch date. It would be pretty nice if that were true. :)

When you pre-order when is the delivery date? The date it hits stores? If you pre-order and it is in stores 9/21 do they usually deliver to you to arrive 9/21?

Actually the last two times I got mine the day before the actual launch date. They try and time the shipping so it gets to you on launch date but sometimes there are happy mistakes.

If it's available unlocked right away, in the US, then I'm down probably. Otherwise I'll wait until I can get an unlocked version. No more extending anything with ATT for me.

I would remind Verizon Wireless users that unless they allow early upgrades no one can order and get the new every two pricing until October 7.

When the iPhone 4 came out I ordered on Apple website and received the phone that morning of the release date. I know its fun to do the line at store routine, but since this was so simple i am going to do it the same way Friday or tomorrow which ever apple goes.

whats the deal with the new nano sim?

if the phone requires nano sim, and your switching over from your 4s which has micro sim. does apple include the new sim and you just have to call your provider to activate? or will i need to go to my provider to get the correct sim on the next day?

6 pages of reading but i didnt see anything sorry.

I think I will preorder from Verizon so I can use my $100 discount I have saved for two years.

This is my first pre-order, is there a limit? I need two, one for my wife and one for me. We are also switching from AT&T to Verizon. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I don't see why they'd wait any longer than tomorrow. Get impulse buys! Just take our money! haha

The ipad was sold same day wasn't it?

Apple will sell unlocked and contract free iPhone 5 about a month after the first ones go on sale. The prices will be $649 for 16 gigs and $749 for 32 gigs.

First of all I'm slightly amazed/surprised at the people mentioning friday is payday so they will be able to order, etc etc.

Really? Do you not have a savings account? Do you live check-to-check and you're spending money on a phone?

And you wonder where all these debt problems come from...

-snip-

Word. If you don't have money in the bank and several months cushion, you don't need an iPhone 5, you need a financial cushion. Sorry Messrs. Cook and Ive.
