I was at a friend's house and I told him I was going to head home early to get to sleep early, I was thinking around 11 so I could wake up early and get my day started.

i spoke to an apple rep and they said they don't charge you until the phone ships..

If you pre-order from the online store, do you have to accept home delivery or can you pick it up at the retail store?

Not long. They were either doing maintenance or they saw that the store was getting hit too much with useless refreshing so they decided to put up a static,simple page.

I am selling mine on eBay. I sold my 16GB iPhone 3G last August and got $360 for it (which was $60 more than what I paid for it).
I currently have a 32GB iPhone 3GS. They are currently going for $300 to $400 or more on eBay.

@zyzays, an apple rep told me they wouldn't charge the card until the phone ships. your opinion, rebuttal, confirmation? you may know more than me 😛
Careful....most banks will initiate a authorization charge behind the scenes just to make sure you have the money....and if you don't they will charge you with the overdraft fee. The merchant needs a way to verify that your plastic has money behind it.
When in doubt, always go credit.
I think I will do a pickup. I cannot wait for FedEx guys to get to my door!! Anyone knows what time the store opens that day? 7am?

Haha, its okay. Ill just go first thing in the morning, and then order it. Not a huge deal, I mean, I should still get it on the 24th. Of course, that wont stop me from staying up all night refreshing the Apple store anyway 😛
