Apple Store Down Ahead of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Well all of you might think AT&T doesn't have their sh** together. There website allows you to complete the entire order process online with shipping. It seems as though Apple is the one with the problem. Well maybe not a problem but a lot of order coming through!
 
Are you sure about seeing it on AT&T? All I see is the iPhone 3GS in there at 32 GB. I don't see anything for the iPhone 4. I'm logged in upgrading and everything.

Once logged it go to the upgrade page and it says check eligibility. Once you click that option it takes you to the phone upgrade page. Find the iPhone 4 click on it and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see both the 16GB and 32GB.
 
The AT&T servers seem to be getting MORE clogged. I guess more and more people are waking up and trying to pre-order. I'm on my 20th try.

click on apple on the left selection column and then you will be able to see iphone 4. its at the bottom. Unless you have a specific FAN account for example, for some FAN accounts, iphone 4 may not show up.....
 
So I went further down the rabbit hole on this order, and found this small print:
A new 2-year commitment with AT&T is required when starting your purchase online. Additionally, the Apple Retail Store offers a no-commitment iPhone for the full retail price.

So apparently they do still allow a non-contract purchase, you just have to do it at an Apple Store. And you can't preorder without a contract. 🙁

That's crazy. I'm doing exactly that and the only phones it's showing under the Apple Brand are the 3G and 3GS. Seems pretty straight forward. Not sure how I could screw this up. Maybe my account is jacked. Both phones are up for upgrades too. They just only want to sell me the old ones. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
