In the spirit of some frenzied, old-time MacRumors, wild speculation ;) perhaps Apple's invitation is hinting that they'll announce* they're skipping the :apple:CAR and going straight to the :apple:HYPERLOOP…

*according to the person operating the lift/elevator where the prototype is conveniently stashed

you know, i'm with ya. i think it's getting boring and losing it's hype. no need to pro-long this thing. it's always the nonsense of previous year in review and how well each item did in the market. what are schools doing with their iPad. what are filmmakers doing with their iPhones, yada yada yada.

I've said in a previous post I will be watching this, but I can't say this event is making me excited to be honest.

Bunch of negative people here! Let's see what's new in the software updates for everything and some new products. Apple doesn't always have to have a "one more thing" major new product at every keynote to be great. They are already great taking care of all of us with the best products anywhere. I can't wait just to here them talk to us again!

As someone with an iPhone 6S Plus and Apple Watch happy with existing bands; none of the rumoured items on today's keynote are interesting to me. Which category do I fall into then?

I'm very excited for a new 10" iPad, possibly interested in new 4"" iPhone, and definitely excited for iOS and OS X updates. The cloud sync for PDF in iBooks is worth my excitement alone!

I do hope that iPad Pro mini (or whatever it will actually be called) keeps the same screen resolution as iPad Air 2. I don't want to deal with rescaled apps again.

Jeez, you guys sure do whine a lot.

It's telling how the expectation is for everything to be a revolutionary, industy defining reveal and anything less is pathetic, apparently. Why not be content with updates, refinements, etc every other year?

They're jaded old miseries. No one would miss them, would you? Nope nor me :)

It seems that we're spoiled. Progress isn't enough anymore, we need constant breakthrough

I'm not looking to buy anything but I'll be tuning in.
Then I'll read all about how the naysayers are so disappointed and Apple is doomed and how other companies are so much better and how Apple enthusiasts all sheep etc etc etc. And I'll brew a large cup of coffee while I read how obvious it is that all the Apple haters can't live without Apple.

Make a new category; it's just a template :D

The problem is that Apples last "industry defining reveal" was the iPad for tablets in 2010 – and in 2014, Apple proved with revealing the Apple Watch that, without Jobs, they have finally lost their unparalleled iPod – iPhone – iPad ...??? run. Nothing to be ashamed of, it was this SUCCESS story which was "abnormal" (from almost bankruptcy to most valuable company of the world in 15 years with three hit products almost every company would wish having only ONE of them in their lifetime) – not falling down slowly, but surely back to earth again now for yet *another* transformation - this time to the new boring Sony/Dell/Microsoft. Doesn't change the fact though that the louder and louder whining isn't about small updates and refinements *every other year*, but because there doesn't seem to come ANY revolution from Apple anymore. The curse of Apple own success.

I hate, too, that I have become an Apple whiner since about a year - although, to my defense, quite late to the whining party. But it surely has its reasons.
