For laptop ports? Every single day!

SD cards, yes, Headphones, yes, HDMI port, yes, USB drives, yes!

Dropbox etc.. is fine for a few light files yet not good for huge transfers.

Oh, come on, people...

THE FUTURE IS HERE!

Just get a USB-C to Headphone Jack Adapter or a wireless set you have bought for your iPhone 7.

There's already, like 3 or 4 USB-C ports available...

Oh, wait...

Are there even USB C headphones?

What if this isn't product planning, but Apple preparing marketing material and wondering what MBP users' biggest concerns could be ahead of time?

or, you know, just get wireless headphones..
then there are no wires/plugs/ports/adapters etc. (well, a charger is still needed)
you get that, right?

Audio don't sound better over wireless than wire. Quite the contrary.

IF you got enough bandwidth and low enough latency, it doesn't sound worse either hey.
Telling me a Multi Gigabit Wireless network can't carry sound?

Argue that it will be a big hastle to plug it into existing equipment if you want,
but not that wireless is by itself a hindrance to quality.

It does have some advantage though, which may counter the hastle eventually
(and probably in a near future (say within 3).

I didn't say it did. I said Apple pushes wireless. They see wireless as the future.

No, Apple pushes proprietary Apple stuff, not wireless. You think they're getting rid of the headphone jack because wireless is better? It's not. It's just another way to FORCE people buy more of their stuff, and in this case its $200 tampon strings that hang out of your ears... i mean Airpods.

Nope. Two dollars licensing fee per accessories.
Chances are most wired accessories (including headphones, 3.5 mm adapters, and SD card readers) would plug into USB-C ports. They wouldn't need to license them from Apple. The same accessories should also work with non-Apple computers that have USB-C ports. Wireless bluetooth accessories also don't have to be licensed with Apple as long as they follow industry standards. The iOS devices, with their proprietary Lightning ports, are a different story.

huh? those aren't the only wireless headphones that work with iphone/mac.

You don't have to buy airpods. There are plenty of other BT headphones. Come up with a better conspiracy theory. Look at the MacBook. One port. What was their justification? Wireless. They push it. Grab a conspiracy theory that has evidence.

I feel like it would have been more smart to replace the lighting port with a USB-C since that seems to be the connection of the future. That way the transition would be a little more seamless once they release USB-C on everything.
This. Totally this. I don't have a lightning port on my MacBook, so why the F would I want to carry around an extra dongle just to use the same headphones on both my phone and computer? And that is why I have not and will not order an iPhone 7. At this point, if I need a new phone, hello Nexus. You can tell me to go wireless when they make wireless headphones that are noise cancelling as good as my Bose and can be charged as I'm using them.

I feel they just don't know what to do anymore to "innovate" they really need to chill out and start releasing major releases bi-yearly or more. They are desperate. I mean look at how they are pushing gimmicks in the new iMessage. Removing a headphone jack, making Game Center completely useless. (Honestly, why keep a gimped, worthless version that doesnt even show you your achievements?)

I am very, very dissapointed with Apple this year. I think some humbling is in order...

I use USB, headphone port and the SD slot. Don't use HDMI. Don't use Thunderbolt.

I hope the new models aren't thinner. Make them the same but with more grunt.
