Apple Targets Windows 7 With Three New 'Get a Mac' Ads

They seem to have worked just fine, judging from Apple's financial earnings. And I find them quite accurate and funny. I know a lot of people who have made the switch to a Mac just based on those ads alone.
And what are you talking about "banned from broadcast"?

I did not say that the Macs contribute nothing. Look at Apple before the iPod's came out. If I recall correctly, their stock was under $10/share. Then look at them about 2 or so years after they were in production. The revenue they made from iPods set the table for future developments.
I think you underestimate the Mac's success lately, my friend.

Anyhow I love my Mac and I still prefer OSX over Win7 but I'm not blind to the fact OSX has had it's share of problems and the stigma of "I'll wait until the 10.X.2 release" mantra.
I like the vintage one with the flashbacks to previous OS's, but these are old. They poke fun, but I wish they would showcase some of the awesome features/design that goes into the computers.
People hated Vista, yup. If you are still having crashes, pop-ups, virus issues.... (I'm sorry to beat up on such an old meme but) YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!
Meh... I must say I'm surprised by the maturity of the average PC users... there is nothing new in this ad, they know it, they don't give a **** about it. (Ballmer though, if a ****ing dumbass.... or a comedic genius!)
and well, this is the perfect time to say point this out. The same hypocrites that were crying about the droid ads are the same hypocrites that are applauding this type of advertisement.
This argument makes me puke. If you aren't happy withe price of Apple computers then they give you plenty of options by going elsewhere.

You know less about cars then OS then mate. If you think that losing all your data is the same as a loose spring you know nothing about cars!!. A truly retarded comparison! For the people that this effects it is not trivial, pull your head out and actually consider the impact of this!
Of course Macs are not perfect, name me one thing in this world that is "perfect". It still doesn't change the fact that Macs and OSX have the industry's highest satisfaction ratings.

How about naming our operating systems based on numerical values: Win 95, Win 98, 2000, Me, XP, Vista --- those names have no order. How about Windows 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and this new one will be 7."
Microsoft VP 2: "Yes, yes, yes! Let's set up fancy stores to show off our hardware."
Microsoft VP 1: "What hardware? Oh yeah, our Zune..."
*They all look at each other with guilt and start smiling*
Microsoft VP 1: "I totally forgot about that. How does it compare to the iPod and iPhone?"
In unison: "I don't have a Zune."
Microsoft VP 2: "Ok, enough chit-chat. Let's open a store called Windows Store and have a Smart Bar?"
Microsoft VP 3: "Smart bar sounds too similar to Genius Bar. How about the Answer Bar. And let's hire Apple's people so that they know what they are doing."
In unison: "Yes!"
Microsoft VP 1: "That concludes our meeting then. We will set up stores. Let's meet again when Apple comes up with something cool. Hmmpf! I mean something new."

You're right about the store, the rest is just thinking Apple invents everything.
Regarding commercials, it'd be dumb for Microsoft not to attack back... you'd be a bad CEO or president of a company if you let a stupid company attack you for years and just sat there.
Naming the OS, PLEASE! Apple didn't invent the numerical values of an OS. If anything, Apple is copying the guy who invented the numeral system. You can't "patent" or "be original" about naming a product and cry when another company names their product with numbers... that's being childish.
Like I said, the store thing IS a bit stupid... but Apple didn't invent the MP3 player, so you can't cry that Microsoft came up with an MP3 player, if anything Apple is copying someone else again.
