Next iPhone will have that new USB-C connector? They seem to be moving to it with that new MacBook.

I don't think they'd want to lose out on the MFI licensing revenue, or pissing off people into buying all their adapters again should they upgrade. I mean, they did it once, but the 30-pin was around far longer than the lightning connector has been.

And in a shocking turn of events, also plans to re-release a 4" version again with upgraded specs!

....and then I woke up.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases this December. Marketing tie in!

Dun make me scary... It is enough that Disney is envolved in this.

An iPhone 6S with a silver or gold back with the option to have a black display front would look so much better than a pink Aluminium one

Apples touch ID works sometimes but really needs improvement.

Yes, this is a perfect example of a subjective scenario. If it's not working for you, you might want to look at *you* and how you're using it, not blaming the technology as a whole. If it was really a widespread problem, there'd be a lot more noise about it.

You may want to re-train your iPhone to recognize your fingerprints and make sure your hands are clean so that it gets a good reading of your print patterns.

I think it will appeal to females.

Actually, pink is the new black for boys, at least for clothing. I guess that would not apply to gadgets. :p

To be fair, it doesn't work if your thumb/finger is a bit sweaty. That's understandable but it's also understandable that sometimes your fingers will get a bit sweaty and therefore the Touch ID won't work everytime.

I wish they'd put a Lightning port on the MacBook so we can just charge and use headphones like this. This will keep Lightning on iDevices. Maybe I'm just being an :apple:fanboy.

I think Apple has a better grasp on what would sell profitably than you do.

Maybe that’s true. However, they could be making mistakes in the long run by maximizing present profits, as they had done it before in the 80s. If they don’t grasp those “could be yours” customers right now (e.g. those prefer smaller size, or those care a little bit more on the price, etc.), after these users have dived into the Android world deep enough, it will be much more difficult or even near to impossible for Apple to win back those customers, even if they did introduce products suit those customers at that time. You know, switching platform is quite painstaking.

Would it be possible that force touch will replace the home butto? force touch to get to the home screen? Is it possible to have the fineeprint reader under the screen?

If this is not possible I dont see the benefit

Many, many people still want a rugged 4 inch iPhone. Please, Apple, just take the 16GB iPhone 5s, add Touch ID, and switch over to the iPhone 5c cases (plus a black one, please). That's your iPhone 6c, and it should be introduced now, before the 6s models. Then, a year later, simply bump up the processor to A8 (underclocked a bit compared to the iPhone 6) to refresh the product, and you have the iPhone 6cs for April, 2016.

There's strong merit in having a mid-range iPhone "tock" about 7 or 8 months after the flagship iPhone "tick" in September, to keep iPhone momentum going throughout the year.

And how about an iPod touch 6th generation -- an iPhone 6c minus the cellular section?

The 5S already has Touch ID, the iPod touch is DEAD and you are dreaming of something that will never happen.

I would hope we could get a (RED) version. I have been wanting one ever since getting my first iPhone.

Hm, but would Force Touch (can we say FT yet?) come to the 6s or 7? I guess as Touch ID is in the 5s it could come in the 6s but I have a funny feeling that it might not be to the 7. I think this because it feels like a bigger change than Touch ID to me, especially if they have to redesign the way the screen is made to make it happen?
