Please correct me if I am wrong.

Tim Cook, as the Operations genius, who were able to turn Apple's inventory less than 5 days. ( Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs biography)

And in here we have members saying that they just have bought the highest end-MBP and delivery dates is 4-5 weeks.

So, if we are going to see an update, or spec bump, can we see this as a sign or vice versa ?

Unless they use more modern / fast memory in the Mac Book Pro, I'm not upgrading. Still ancient garbage.

So if you do a WWDC hardware event it needs to have something to do with the software platform.

So think ARM CPU or Screen going Retina ,etc.

So if we get a change in hardware I expect it to be ARM based CPU in a low end laptop going against the chrome books.

This would be a huge new ground for apple to open up

All they have to do is update the mid 2015 mbp with Kaby Lake (coffee lake would be even better but it wont be ready) and bring back the old prices, then watch stock prices rise...

I don't think we're going to see lowered prices for Macbook / MacBook Pro

Apple's recent financial release has shown a siginficant uptick on revenues in the Mac lineup despite insignificant change in volume. This is indicative that Apple's revenues (in the computer industry) are tied currently to price points and not movement volume. Dropping prices alone might spur more sales, but the current modus operandi of Apple is increase prices to account for decreasing / stable volume.

Or one could account for the same figures with lower component costs. I imagine the component costs for the MBA / Mac Mini / iMac / MacPro are lower now than a year or two ago.

Magsafe is number 2 on my wish list. Bringing back a keyboard with more travel is number 1.

I'm getting worn out from having my hopes built up and crushed, but I've got my fingers crossed for a minor refresh to the 2015 with modern parts.
Two things that kinda made me chuckle in this post. First, it's kinda hilarious how broad our needs are from a computer even while we're both on a site dedicated to a company who is famous/notorious for only actually giving consumers a tiny number of options. Bringing back Magsafe or higher travel keyboards would actually bug me. My wish list has i-series processors in the rMB and macOS support for eGPUs at 1 and 2.

Second, a little dose of perspective. I'm pretty sure nobody is actually building your hopes up for a minor refresh to 2015 MBPs, getting your hopes up over that and then getting them crushed is kinda all on you. Nobody with any experience predicting Apple's product releases is saying that's remotely possible.

So macbook pro will finally get 32gb option.
Great, that is what most posters over here asked for.
I predict that the gpu and price will be point of discussion after this release....

They got 1 letter wrong:
Apple will release a macbook arm, not air :)
Would be nice though: a " low price" macbook with an arm soc instead of x-86, apple' s chromebook!

TB3 only requires Apple buying the TB3 chip, hook it up to the PCIe bus and paying what-ever royalties associated. There is no technological reason you can't have TB3 on AMD.
Yes they could, but the lack of native TB3 support isn't the only reason why we won't see Ryzen. It just won't happen.

Today's report makes no mention of the iMac or Mac mini, two of Apple's desktop machines that have not been updated in some time. It has been more than 580 days since the iMac was last updated in October of 2015, and more than 940 days since the Mac mini was updated in October of 2014.

Apple has said it has updated iMacs in the works, but it is not clear when the machines will debut.

I'm just going to go ahead and call it: The MacMini is DEAD.

last time I called the MacPro dead and it was revived in a week.

That would mean that 12" MacBook price point would start from 999$.. and that won't happen easily.
That's the plan, although the decrease may do to $1099 if the Air is sticking around, unless they change the pricing of that. However theres also the iPad pro pricing overlap to consider.

I'm not holding my breath, but I'm actually in the need of another laptop and a new desktop. I guess I'm going to hold off on the Windows purchase until after the WWDC. You never know :)

It's still the "value" option since it's the cheapest MacBook you can get right now. That's the reason why it's still around.

I still think they'll drop the price of the entry level 12" to $999 (8GB RAM/256GB storage), slot in the better version at $1299, and then have a couple of models of a 14" MacBook with retina display starting at $1299-- like they used to do with iBooks back in the day and as they currently do with iPhones and MacBook Pros, and iMacs come to think of it. Air will go away at that point.

Apple is planning to announce refreshes for its notebook lineup at its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference set to take place in June, reports Bloomberg. New versions of the MacBook and MacBook Pro are expected to be announced, and Apple is also considering updating the MacBook Air, its most affordable notebook.

The MacBook Pro, which was just updated in October with a slimmer design and a Touch Bar, will be refreshed with a faster Kaby Lake processor, an update from the Skylake processors in the current machines. It will look the same as the current model, adopting only internal updates.

Apple has been working on a custom-designed ARM chip that could handle low power features in the MacBook Pro, but the chip may not be ready for the June MacBook Pro refresh.

Apple's MacBook, last updated in April of 2016, will gain an updated processor, also likely to be in the Kaby Lake family.

Apple has not updated its MacBook Air since March of 2015 and has been phasing it out in favor of the MacBook and the MacBook Pro, both of which are now thinner than the "Air" model, but Bloomberg suggests Apple is thinking about refreshing it with an updated processor, which would mean the MacBook Air could stick around for at least another few years as a low-cost notebook option. Sales of the MacBook Air "remain surprisingly strong" due to its affordability.

The new notebooks are likely to be announced at Apple's June 5 keynote, which is set to kick off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Rumors also suggest Apple could use the event to introduce both a new Siri speaker and the long-rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which is said to feature slimmer bezels for a nearly edge-to-edge design.

I hope theres more to it than just a touch bar

How about 32GB - 64GB Ram Capacity?

they are just going to toss in kabylake for the Pro model, and release it in GOLD!!!.

NEW!!!
I hope in matt black, not gold or jet black, jet black makes it look like plastic.
Together with a matt black 10.5 inch ipad pro please.
And a siri speaker in the same black as the macpro!

Let's just pull the band-aid off now, gents.

Mag safe isn't' coming back. Neither are USB-A ports. It hurts. But there it is.
magsafe rocks though, so does the glowing apple logo, and actual ports we use. The prior to the touchbar macbook pro is the best option right now. But you're right, they won't go back until they get rid of Tim Cook...

Not unexpected, especially in regards to the Macbooks. What would be surprising is if Apple release an updated version of the 2015 MBP alongside these too.

Sure, I would prefer desktops being announced but perhaps Apple will kowtow to that crowd later this year?
That'd be great. Then when those outpace the touchbars, Apple might get the message that many of us like ports, magsafe, glowing Apple logo and actual buttons for function keys...

Apple need to update their mbp to NOT new anymore if they want to update them again
I guess a better battery is also expected
