it will never stop. there are still lots of people claiming apple will replace x86 CPU's with their own ARM based solutions in every computer because <Reasons why Apple is #1>

actual technological / business reasons be damned to them, they just want to believe!
It's not that bad when people consider it happening in a number of years, but a surprising number believe these things are going to happen this year. Some people are determined that Apple will release Ryzen Macs, which I can safely say will never happen.

WWDC is only software for the last time

You mean, like:
(WWDC 2012, launch of the Retina MacBook Pro).

Apple can launch anything they feel like launching at the WWDC keynote. Since it sounds like the MBP updates are just minor spec bumps (Kaby lake isn't a big deal) it wouldn't take long. There's bound to be a bit of hoopla over how successful and universally-loved the new MBPs have been.

The Siri speaker might well be launched at WWDC because they'll want to get developers going on the apps.

I certainly don't. The smart speaker perhaps could happen. The iPad and Mac updates are highly unlikely. WWDC is primarily developer based and I can't see Apple drawing this much attention away from the true meaning of WWDC.
Apple could very well release the MacBook, MBP and even the MBA updates as a press release only if there are no other changes than a newer processor generation. And I can see them making this press release on the day of the keynote. If they present the 10.5" iPad during the keynote, they could simply add one sentence that there are updated versions of all their laptop lines.

As many said, the smart speaker needs third-party developer support, announcing it during the WWDC keynote makes perfect sense. And if iOS 11 brings a slew of new iPad features, presenting the 10.5" iPad along with it can also work well.

Kinda sad that Apple didn't come up with this elegant solution. Steve would never have allowed a step backwards.
Personally I'd rather have 3rd party accessory makers competing in this space so that I can have this functionality on every device I own, rather than a proprietary Apple solution that only works with my laptop. Letting the accessory makers fight it out saves Apple money and ultimately leads to more and better choices for the consumer, so... seems like a net win to me.

If they update the MBP with a better battery and other features besides just Kaby Lake, I'll feel pretty stupid about buying the 2016 model. First they go almost two years without updating the MBP and now it's less than a year later.

I kind of hope they do come out with some hardware just so the "WWDC is software only" people can S.T.F.U.
It's probably just a processor bump. Not very noticeable. Apple did that in July 2011 with a much more significant processor boost to the MacBook Air and 13" Pro that were redesigned in October 2010.

The Macbook Air is dead. Its not coming back, there is no reason with the 12" Macbook and the 13" Macbook Pro both being smaller than it.
The reason for the existence of the MBA is that it's several hundred dollars cheaper than the rMB and MBP.

they are just going to toss in kabylake for the Pro model, and release it in GOLD!!!.

NEW!!!

So a Siri speaker, new iPad, New MacBook's, iOS 11, MacOS, tvOS and WatchOS? Sounds like a packed event....

I just bought my MacBook Pro TouchBar in January. I'll be pretty frustrated if it's anything more than a minor spec bump. if they drop a brand new one less than a year out.

To be honest, i have no interest in the TB at all. So as long as they don't give me a an optional new 15 MBP without the TB, they can keep it. ^^

It will just be a spec update. I also would not be surprised if they made a 15" No TB.

I can't wait for the courageous new feature where they remove the headphone jack for no reason! Also, I hope they change the charging port again so its not compatible with any other previous designs. Cant innovate my...

I just bought a touch bar in Jan. LOL! This would be really annoying.

If they bring out a 15" without touch bar but with Touch ID. I will be even more annoyed.

OK, so Apple should hold off on making updates exactly how long to make you feel better about your purchase? Should the folks who are thinking about buying one of theses updated models in June hold off because there is likely to be another update sometime next year? When you are dealing with tech, you have to get over the fact that a newer model is soon coming out or you'd never buy and you'll never be satisfied. You have to just decide if the current price and features makes sense for you. The obvious exception is when you believe they are about to announce a new model!

Kaby lake
Form fitting battery.

Dongles sold separately...
No more headphone port
No more physical keyboard ;)

Bye bye...
MacPro
MacMini

Ok, if there are new Macs, the keynote will be interesting... I was worried of it being just an iPad/Watch event.

Also, I hope Apple realizes that Macbook Air sales are strong not only because of affordability, but because of its great screen-size / weight ratio, as well as still having full size USB ports, which is a big plus, together with magsafe which is even a bigger plus.

Good screen size + full size USB + magsafe, and all of that more affordable than the rest of MacBooks... no wonder sales are strong.

New systems up to 3kg do not go above 1060.

And mobile parts are weaker than desktop ones.

I should have said "up to" but still I bet you understood perfectly what I was saying.
And yes while they are weaker than the desktop part they are still miles ahead of anything AMD has presently or in the near future, to offer for laptop use.

P.S.: Most of those gtx 1080 based laptop come with 17,3 and 18 inches screen which amount for quite a bit of weight.

I'll take a decently-sized, chiclet(I hate butterfly keyboard), actual ports anyway

The MacBook 12" isn't really a computer I'd take to do work on. Not that a MBA is meant to either but it sure handles way better than a 12".

I'd use/used a MBA for Photoshop, the MacBook 12" well...

Let's just pull the band-aid off now, gents.

Mag safe isn't' coming back. Neither are USB-A ports. It hurts. But there it is.
As someone who purchased a tMBP, It would hurt/annoy me a lot more if MagSafe makes a comeback. (Note: I expect them to bring back Magsafe)

Regarding MacBook Air...

Make the current 12" MacBook the "Consumer" Mac notebook (maybe have a 11" version?) And do away with the Air altogether. IMHO
