In my opinion we could expect:
- iWork and iLife 2011. Includes native .docx support for iWork etc.
That would make me jump up and down with joy. Don't see it happening, though.

If 10.7 is lion then does it mean it's also the end of the line for OS X because the lion is the king of all beasts. You can't top it. Hmmm.
What about a Saber-tooth cat?
10.7 Lion
10.8 Mountain Lion
I hope they stream this media event live like they did the Sept 1st event.
I just wish the announcement was not so blatant. It kind of ruins the surprise.
For the record, here are the cats in order:
10.0 - Cheetah
10.1 - Puma
10.2 - Jaguar
10.3 - Panther
10.4 - Tiger
10.5 - Leopard
10.6 - Snow Leopard
10.7 - Presumed Lion
I don't know if anyone noticed this but...

We all know what the Lion means. OS X Lion, period. For the next paragraph, pretend it's not there, but that there's just white instead.
Focus on the apple. Not only it is ridiculously thin (clue 1), but imagine for a second that you take it off. You'd be left with what looks like a closed Mac Laptop seen from above, right? The aluminum, the white apple in the middle... Now focus for a second on the relative dimensions: the apple is way too big for that to represent a 15'' or a 17''. Even a 13'' would be misrepresented by that. However, if you imagine a 11'' laptop, the apple might just have that size, when in comparison to the rest of the laptop. (clue 2). Another thing in favour of it being a laptop are the corners: two sharp ones, and two round ones (clue 3).
All of these would fit as clues for the much-rumored 11.6'' Macbook Air.
Also, the spinning apple could be a reference to either 3D or the iMac patents with moveable screen, but that'd be sort of a longer shot.
The next line of MacBooks will have an Apple logo centred on the lid which is four times the size of the current. The glow will be powered from a million tiny lions' roars which will be converted into light.
You heard it here first.
Hooray! Finally more about macs. Can't wait for 10.7. Touch support anyone?
Saber-tooth cats are extinct. You don't want to name a version of OSX that unless it really is the end of the line.

I seriously don't think it's fair to continue to sell a product (in this case MacBook Pro) at the full normal price, market it like its only just come out (on their website) then release a new one a few weeks later with no notice.
Thats only based on the assumption they do release a new model, but I mean in general with products across the board, especially when its something as pricey as a computer (especially a Mac).
Spose they are perfectly able to do that, but it sucks that there is nothing you can do.

I wonder what (if any) hardware 10.7 will drop, saying this is about 10.7. Since, 10.3, Apple started dropping computers.
-10.3 - needed USB
-10.4 - needed firewire
-10.5 - needed 867+ MGHz G4
-10.6 - needed Intel
-10.7 - need Core 2 (as in no more Core Solo/Duo) (?)
