I have the M1 Pro, edit photos with it and would like more power …
BUT the faster M2 and M3 Chips get hotter and throttle… if they even make it thinner …
How can there be more power if the damn chips can’t get the heat off of them. Put in a cooling pad that spreads the heat more … The iPad Pro is a damn furnace that’s choking already … I want more power Apple not a thinner iPad
Tablet form factor is limiting. Buy a MacBook Pro like I did.

You may need a Macbook Pro, yo. I see more posts about the iPad Pro being overpowered than underpowered
I don’t disagree on the power aspect.
BUT I also have a desktop pc with 13600k and rtx 4070ti

I only enjoy editing on the iPad Pro now bc of the pen for brushing in masks and using it as an input. Also using fingers too zoom etc.
It’s just such a way more enjoyable experience that I completely switched as this is for my hobby.

I sit at a pc for my job already so being able to have my photos in my hand and using an amazing pen as input while laying on the sofa is wonderful. I feel more connected to my photos as well.

Apple doesn’t announce them at WWDC because they can’t at the same time show you new iPads, new iPadOS features, and ship the iPad in June without the new features.
So it’s either before WWDC (May) or after September.

This "software" delay is the stupidest thing I've ever heard frankly, doesn't make a lick of sense. Apple releases software updates the same day for tens of different iPhone and iPad models. Yet somehow, these new iPad models are so fundamentally different that it's taking them weeks to finish the software? Make it make sense.

Say it's delayed due to production issues, that's reasonable. But this software thing is straight bogus.
Yeah, the “software” delay is code for “If folks don’t subscribe to my newsletter because I’m guessing, that would be HORRIBLE… so when I’m wrong I have to make it sound plausible… well, plausible enough for people that are paying for what are essentially ‘guesses’ dressed up as analysis.”

He obviously was hearing about something being released in March, jumped to the conclusion that it MUST be iPads and now has egg on his face. There’s no “delay”. If it’s being released in May, it’s because Apple intended to release in May.

Of course, OLED is an unique and innovative technology…

The last few weeks have been challenging to Apple. Let’s see if there’s some real innovation coming this year.
They are using new double-stacked OLED tech. Read up on the rumors.

I feel like a broken record.

iPad Air should not exist. The money-people at it again. Bring the product-people back.
Here are the reasons why the Air is the best iPad:
Excellent design
Powerful performance
Laminated screen
Full iPadOS features
Much more affordable cost without cutting corners

An iPad Pro is an overkill for many, and I work in graphic design and video. The Air is perfect for what one can do with an iPad. If you need more flexibility, you use a Mac.

the regular iPad has a lot of compromises.
so no, the Air should definitely exist.

It really doesnt matter... the current iPads are great for practically everyone...

The only reason there is so much fuss is because this is a rumour site... and the people on here are a tiny fraction of Apples customer base.

And I'm on here too... but increasingly I just get bored... there just doesnt seem to be the juicy rumours there used to be. It's all become a bit boring.
I’d rather have “boring” rumors than the endless cascade of negativity in the forums. 🤷‍♂️

Fine. I don't care anymore. And if Apple is still busy writing the software, it'll probably be as buggy as can be. I'll just spend my money on something outside the Apple ecosystem. Enough already.

For the price and weight of an IPP I can't seem to get excited about new ones over the cost of a MacBook Air these days.
More powerful and a nicer screen. Fair enough - but it's never going to replace a laptop in current form and for the power users who are getting excited about the M3 chip It's surely a niche market.

Ipad WAS revolutionary. now it's barely evolutionary.
If we knew iPadOS was changing it would possibly help sell units and get a bit of excitement up.

the mini is probably the most 'useful' daily device that could sit along a laptop rather than trying to replace it.

GJ, Apple. Take the headphone jack off the iPad "pro," making it even less useful.

We're learning that with Apple, "pro" actually means "gimped." Remember that they forced an embarrassing emoji bar on "pro" MacBook buyers for several years, taking away legitimate function keys.
