Yup, I bought the SGS2 when July rolled around and no iPhone came out. I needed a new phone soo bad that I bought the SGS2 for full price. Good job Apple for dropping the ball on a new iPhone. The SGS2 is blazing fast and works perfect. I had to get used to Android but it didn't take long and I like the back button.

Kinda agree with you here. I was hoping for a redesign but I'll be happy with a vast improvement on specs.

The A5 is no slow poke and is as good as whats out there..... And as a friend pointed out, having a glass case keeps the phone easily looking new!!!! The cheap plastic on the gall s 2 will get beat up over 2 years.... The iPhone display is still as good as the gall 2 oled...

ummmm, you start with the 4.3" kickass screen vs the old/tiny 3.5", how's that for a "difference"?
Unless the new features are amazing, and they will be, because that's what Apple does.

Apple has not been using the numbers to denote generation so it would not be confusing except to those who make up their own numbering schemes.

That's a spec bump. If iPhone did not have a screen, that would be a difference. I assumed what I was trying to ask was clear enough. But anyway, it's been answered already. Galaxy has microSD card slot, which is an actual difference.
And I certainly would not say 4.3 is kickass if 3.5 is accepted to be tiny. If 3.5 is tiny, than 4.3 is only less tiny. There isn't that much room to use a that strong adjective as kick ass imho. Also doesn't that mean that Galaxy is actually a bigger device as well? Isn't that a bad thing? Why not go even bigger? What's the ideal size for a phone without getting close to a tablet?
Funny, everything I posted was incontrovertible fact. A bigger screen size is NOT an upgrade, it is a trade-off. Same with a microSD slot, it's a trade-off.
An UPGRADE is new features, better battery life, more memory, etc.

No people are turning their back becasue it doesnt have a bigger screen, still has a glass back and still (according to many, not all) feels terrible in you hand.
If this is true then big freaking deal, why would Apple need to announce this like they are? Anyone who gets excitied over this needs more in their life and I feel sorry for them.

I'll probably wait for the ip5... but I think people will still run to the stores. I guess they have to release something new for the holiday seasons.

If you like fat low quality ****** OS phones made by a South Korean counterfeiter ... not much ...
S2 is thinner and lighter, Screen size, Super AMOLED Plus display is better than the Retina IMO.

If they give a new design great!!...if they upgrade the specs without a redesign that cool too.....I personally don't mind the screen on my Iphone....if I want bigger I use my Ipad....not sure why the bigger screen is such a big deal....I have friends that have the Android with the bigger screen...but...when I pull out my IPad they wish they had an IPad....rather have a faster performing phone over a bigger screen...just my thoughts

I'm fine with the same phone design if they throw on the bigger screen - - it'll be easy to get an Otterbox for it!
How can you NOT understand that if the assistant ran on the old ihone4, there would not be any reason for you to by the new phone. (it's extremely simple to understand).
