Phew, for a second there I thought they would copy Samsung. Glad they dodged that bullet.

fwiw, apple's fiscal year starts in september (the 27th for this calendar year). iPhone launches typically occur in the new fiscal year, which would be FY2017 this year. it's possible that this is what Kuo means.

Some people will believe whatever is in print here.
If you want a REAL invisible phone, get a subdural implant wired directly into your cerebral cortex. I've been waiting about 50 years for something along those lines.

Some update yearly.... how does that make us fools?
[doublepost=1460940948][/doublepost]
Because you can get the aluminum gold/rose gold.... no need to push a watch not many people were interested in buying.
Because it's just a spec bumped 6s which is already too fast to begin with.Who's gonna update for a design with no antenna lines,no head phone jack?Dual cameras sound like the only interesting thing but the iPhone 7 4.7 won't have it.The iPhone 7 is even less of a update than the iPhone 6s was over the 6

If this is true, I'll be holding off on upgrading my 6 to the 7 to get the OLED phone next year.

Hopefully it will launch earlier than usual in June for the 10th anniversary.

Flush dual cameras, no antenna lines, jet black on the front and back, no home button (integrated into screen) to reduce bezel size, edge to edge screen would be on my early wish list. Also be available in 4.7" size, rather than just the 5.5-5.8"

What's with this obsession with eliminating bezels? Especially the side bezels which are actually useful. The fleshy part of your fingers would cover part of the display without them and you'd end up holding your phone like a tray. Also, the content would not only look distorted along the edges but the glare would obscure it like the Galaxy Edge.

All those 2017 rumors make me less excited about the 2016 iPhone

Except it's a bit SHADY that a analyst is suddenly and repeatedly spewing "info" about a full cycle ahead of the one that's not even out yet.

Does anyone need an Einstein to figure this is highly irregular in the sense he MUST know this can seriously damage Apple near term and it heavily favors their competitors and by default inflate Samesong's popularity. Very weird.

Clearly this guy is a MAJOR piece of sushi up Apples butt constantly attempting to pre-empt Apple at its own game.

I'm certainly surprised that the Apple blogs like MR and AI eat this guys dinner more and more and not see the negative in him. It's glaringly obvious to me this guy is not in Apples camp. He's now so widely reported that one can consider this info as insider trading of sorts as it will no doubt help facilitate yet another negative stock correction -- this on top of CNBC that will ---come tomorrow -- plaster the Japan Earthquake damage story as a huge negative for Apple and iPhone 7. Count on it.

Pile on people, pile on.

Suddenly the number 7 isn't so "lucky" after all.

Ugh

"There is no such thing as a 5.5 inch iPhone"

- Popular MacRumors thread (with much support from analysts and posters) leading up to the release of the iPhone 6.

So the whole industry is running out of ideas and innovations. They are instead, copying others and "innovate" from there.

Aluminum, Plastic, Glass. Which type of material suitable for mass production can we choose? Carbon finish like old IBM ThinkPad? Or copper? Silver? Gold...no this is not an option.

If Apple could convince those Wall Street fanatics, and slow down iPhone development, to divert more resources for Mac lineup, another large group of customers will be very happy and grateful. Where is that gold-price trash can update? for example.

I had to Google "HOWFUNKEL" to see where that awesome iPhone concept came from - it's a 4 back panel.

If iPhone 7 still uses an aluminum casing in 2016, it will be the fifth year in a row that iPhone has done so, which means there is no longer a feeling of freshness to appeal to consumers.
When you hear his reasoning, he comes across as the average stupid analyst. Nobody uses aluminum anymore, it's an overused material. But then again his prediction for the iPhone SE was so detailed and correct that he must have a source high up inside the company.

It's possible that he occasionally predicts something that sounds outrageous and doesn't come true just so it's not blatantly obvious that he knows the right people.

WOHOO! bring back the glass back like iphone 4s. because metal is so boring after 4 years. well i love my SE though, it's beautiful. the 6 and 6s is ugly with its antenna lines, it's pure eyesore.

Back to full body cracks?

you know, with glass back, if you drop it and crack it, you can change it easily with a new one sold in ebay. but with the unibody like 6s, you drop it, dented and you have to live with it. it sucks.

Its been 4 years, maybe Apple knows how to make a good glass back now.

Add, also every phone now are metal... By 2017 every phone now is glass.

Kuo has made several accurate predictions:

- Many details about the iPhone 6s (Touch ID 2.0, 12MP camera, 16/64/128GB, 3D Touch, much more…)
- iPhone SE in first half of 2016
- New 9.7" iPad in first half of 2016
- Apple Pencil
- 17" MacBook Pro discontinued
- 12-inch MacBook
- 5-megapixel FaceTime cameras on new devices
- Apple Watch Sport in yellow & rose gold
- Apple Watch launching in 2015 with 8GB storage
- iPhone 5C Predicted to Replace iPhone 5, iPhone 4S Sales to Continue
- Many iMac rumors
- More…

Basically all of this is guessable or you can use the power of deduction. He can either have inside information or guess. He mostly guesses. If you are really interested in this you can start guessing just as good as he or better.
