Hurry, Apple! You destroyed  my iPhone 4 with iOS7 so I need that iPhone 6 ASAP!

I read that iOS 7.1 improved on speed over 7.0 on the iPhone 4. It's not all of a sudden great, but it improved things a bit, hopefully making it more tolerable and faster for you. If you haven't updated to 7.1, give it a shot.

meh... happy with my 5S

will wait to see what the 6S brings.

I feel the same way, except I have an iPhone 5 and I said meh to the iPhone 5S, will wait to see what the 6 brings.
But it's just because I'm on a different 2-year cycle ;)

Sorry - Too little, too late

I really don't like Android, but I'm also sick to death of my buggy iPhone 4s. After 4 years my contract is finally up in May, I'm not waiting another full year for a new phone! I say full year, because if it comes out in the fall, it'll probably be hard to get until early NEXT year and I don't jump through "hoops" to buy something. I'm ready to dump ATT and go with a pay as you go Cricket or T-Mobile plan, my bill is outrageously expensive for a device that almost never works when I travel.

I like the 4.7" concept, but I think the 5.5" is pushing it. Portability is still prty important for cell fones

another disloyal apple customer that does not upgrade at every new product release

I don't buy the stuff into the production issues at all on the larger model. This is typical Apple. With the 4.7" they catch the first wave of early adopters that want a larger screen. Then a few months later, they release the 5.5" version for another bump in sales. Anybody remember the 'white' iPhone 4S?

yes, the one w/ discoloration problems until they perfected the glue. it wasnt a conspiracy.

Your statement is incorrect. Apple has released ONE iPhone/year since 2007 with the exception of the 5C/5S release last year that were STILL released at the same time.

Did you confuse Samsung's strategy with Apples?

You know? Like when Samsung released the S4 and then a few months later released that "active" S4 with the waterproof/dirtproof casing?

generally you say that once the prediction has come to pass. unless you are the one who said "MacRumors will one day have a rumor about 5.5" iPhone production issues". if so, kudos. you told us so.

Well, my humor might be cheeky, but I'm an honest god-fearing person, who would never post a 'I told you so' picture, if I didn't tell you so before hand.

The latest update fixed most of the issues on my S4 but still considering going back to android. Would prefer BB but that house is falling apart and sprint doesn't sell the full screen Z30. Was hoping the Ubuntu phone would have been out by now but that died too. Sucks having limited options on phones. Just tired of apples ecosystem.

A 4 year contract?. WTF!

I can use my iPhone 5 with one hand, except when app developers place a "close" or "back" button in the upper right portion of the screen. Thank goodness Apple added that swipe gesture to move backwards through screens. I'm presuming that was foresight for making larger phones.

Not the 4S, the 4. They held it back nearly 10 months. I just waited for it instead of buying the black one first, so they didn't get any extra money out of me.

That case, though, was clearly a production issue. They announced it at the same time as the black one. Then they said it was coming later that month. Then later that fall. Then later that year. Then later the next year. Finally, it just came out in April. I've not forgiven Apple for this, btw.

You mean the white iPhone 4, the 4 was originally released in black then the white came a while later. The 4s was released in white and black from release day.

So? Apple was having difficulties in producing a white version that didn't look like crap two months after purchasing it. Once they figured it out, they released it. Then they perfected the process. Once they perfected it, they were able to release both colors side by side for the following generation. What's dubious about that??

Sounds like you're just bitter that you either had to wait for a white iphone 4, or you bought a black one and then were upset that you didn't have the newest tech.

And then people will come here and complain that Apple's product line is too complex with too many SKUs. I'm sorry but I don't want Apple morphing in to Samsung.

It's not as complex as you think. A person goes into a store and asks for model, size, color.

iPhone 5S... 16GB... Space Gray...

So what would happen if they added a 4.7" iPhone 6 in addition to the 4" iPhone 6?

iPhone 6 (the big one)... 16GB... Space Gray

I don't envision people's brains melting from "too many SKUs" ;)

It could be worse:

HP Pavilion 15t-n200
HP Pavilion 15t-n220
HP Pavilion 15t-n230
HP Pavilion 15t-n280

WTF do those mean?

Having tried a Galaxy S4 and loving the 5" screen (the Samsung bloatware and useless gimmicks put me off and sent me back to iOS and iPhone), I'd be happy with a 4.7" iPhone. I'd want o have a hands on with the 5.5" before deciding if it was too big or not for myself (not the world).
One thing I'd like to see with a bigger screen, change the software to allow at least one extra dock icon. My old jailbroken 4S could do it, and the icons fitted very well on that screen.

Tim is out of ideas...
And even then it's delayed.

Focus on iWatch and a bunch of other things. Skip this iPhone iteration if you can't come up with something more bright than 4,7" and 5,5" screen.

Yes, because you've totally seen the now iPhone and know all the features it wil have.

Comments like these are mind-numbingly stupid.

All I can say is BRING IT ON APPLE!

As long as they use most of that 4.7 inch size as screen then I will be happy. It shouldn't be a problem for 1 handers. I can type with 1 hand on my Galaxy S4 and my hands are not big.
