Apple TV 4 Pre-Order Thread

Hello, everyone! This is my first time posting in this thread. I have been stalking it like crazy though! I just thought I would put in my $0.02 here.

I preordered about 50 minutes after the order page went live. I bought the 64GB version and I paid $17 for faster shipping. Normally, I wouldn't pay extra for shipping but I did in this case because I live in an area ( Alabama ) where there are no Apple stores. The closest one to me is a 3 hour drive one way, so to me, the shipping was worth it to have it on Friday so I could have it over the weekend.

Well, that $17 was a waste. I still do not have a shipping confirmation and am expecting to not receive my Apple TV today but yet people ( no blame to you guys! ) who did not pay shipping, even other people I have seen in my same state, are getting theirs today. Yes a very long string of curse words are echoing in my head right now. I am beyond frustrated! The only chance of me getting one today is to try to get one from Best Buy. This whole ordering experience was horrible!

Fully expected to wake up this morning with a shipment notification. Nope! Still in PFS. And I paid with a gift card, so unless they cancel and reimburse the gift card, I'm out of luck. I don't want to buy it locally with a credit card and then have $150 in Apple gift credit sitting around. :mad:

That is definitely one area that Apple needs to improve on! So sorry that you got screwed.

I can't believe some people who paid for express shipping are not getting it today. I hope yinz are getting refunds at the least for the shipping.

I'm in the exact same boat, but I decided to not wait and placed another order for in-store pickup this morning. I'll be returning the pre-ordered one once it (eventually) is shipped and arrives.

The worst part is not that some people who paid for express shipping are not getting it, the worst part is that some people who did not pay for shipping are receiving theirs ahead of the some people who paid for express shipping.

I have a tracking number, and a text from APPLE stating delivery today, except, UPS doesn't have a single scan on it - not even an origin scan. Should I be worried?

Just got shipment from Fedex and for some reason it says delivery today (at the label created stage). I had it sent to office because I thought it was being delivered next week. Figures the one time Apple sends me something early now it's going to wrong place. Is there a way to change the delivery address for Fedex ground?
 
Argh. Ordered Monday and later upgraded to next day shopping; still PFS with delivery today or next week. Pre auth charges fell off, so I guess I'm not getting it today. Also used a giftcard, so I can't just cancel the order. I guess I'll at least try to get the shipping refunded.

I don't think you can if it's already on the truck to be delivered.
