That Apple notification in the Deliveries app is just based on the delivery estimate (latest date), once it ships (changes from Preparing Shipment) you should see it update to an actual delivery time

I was checking the FedEx site though and not the deliveries app. It actually changed the status on the site at 9AM but on the timeline it said 7:59. I just found it funny.

As a side remark, you know we're all going to be the same when the iPad Pro launches soon :) At least that may be a true PRE-ORDER and have reservations :)

Is anyone in the DC area seeing movement on their deliveries yet? I ordered a 64GB model with free delivery on Monday at 8:30 AM, and it's still "Preparing for Shipment Available to ship: 3-5 business days Delivers: 02 Nov, 2015 - 04 Nov, 2015 by Free 2 Business Day Shipping"

No. Mine is going to Rockville, MD but is still on PFS.

I ordered another one to pick up at the closest Apple Store and received confirmation right away.

I'll return the other one once it finally arrives.

Web chat told me that if my order has not shipped yet that it is back ordered and will probably be later than the promised nov 2-4 yet I can not cancel since it is preparing for shipment

Thinking out loud but is it possible the UPS tracking information is way out of date or not working?

I paid for next day and I received the shipped email from Apple on Thursday and it said est delivery on UPS for Friday between 1 and 5 but hasn't updated until now says in transit but still California and could cause a one day delay, I'm hoping for tracking to be messed up.

Mine arrived about 2 hours ago, its still in the packaging but I've finished working now so its about to get torn open :)
