Just posting an update. I thought for sure my next update would be me typing out that I finally got it. My apple status is still PFS. My fedex shipping says I should get it today but it still only says Label Created and my main Fedex delivery person has already come to this area and left so I know there is no chance of getting it today.

It sucks cause I would love to go to Best Buy and pick one up since I know they have them.. But since they discounted the Apple TV for me because of all this I feel kinda stuck with it now. I would be paying more if I went to a store and picked it up.

There are 2 Fedex trucks Express and FedEx home delivery so you still could get it today

Apple, Apple, you really have to change the shipping "experience" here in Europe. Apple is using DHL Express or UPS. I got lucky thursday evening and my ATV4 got shipped with DHL Express. DHL Express is actually meant for companies. We also have DHL Parcel here, which operates as a seperate company and actually has a network of pickup points.

Appearently when it got shipped on thursday, DHL Express sent it from Eindhoven to Brussels, to Amsterdam and then to Apeldoorn, which is approx. one hour from my home. Eindhoven is also one hour from my home. WTF ? It was supposed to arrive last night, but the courier never showed up. Story is that it just arrived in time to end up in a van. I drove to Apeldoorn myself this morning to pick it up in person. I noticed a sticker from Apple on the front stating monday 09:00 - 18:00. So appearently, they instruct companies like DHL about the latest shipment date. I also heard that Apple requires to store packages in a seperate safe.

Apple should use couriers who are able to serve consumers. My goodness.. what a mess.

So did any Canadians actually wind up getting their device delivered yesterday?

I don't think so, unless you went to an Apple Store.

My tracking number updated late in the day with its 'destination scan' and UPS website said it would deliver that day. After calling UPS at the end of the day they said it was a mistake, and if it's not on a truck by noon it's not getting delivered.

Monday hopefully. Disappointing really.

Yeah I grabbed a 64 from the Apple Store yesterday. My shipment is due to arrive Tuesday.

Monday does not count as a business day Tuesday start day 1 they will ship it Monday for sure with mine
How does Monday not count as a business day? I got the confirmation for my order BEFORE 7AM on Monday which means they had a full eight "business" hours on Monday to start processing the order and that's one full day, followed by Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and all day Friday. That's at least a full forty business hours since I got the initial confirmation for my order.

In any case, it's now Saturday and not a peep from Apple or change in the shipping status.

I'm not blaming you for trying to offer an explanation, but if that is what Apple would say given my situation then I'd have to say it's a pretty lame excuse. Maybe they're also going to try to claim that Friday doesn't count because it was the day before Halloween? No offense meant toward you, I'm just very disappointed in the way that Apple has handled the status updates for the Apple TV. Their performance has not been what I'd term "world class."

I also ordered Monday morning and it still hasn't shipped. When I was given a date of 11/2-11/4 I was fine with that. What ticks me off if that we weren't told it would be in stores on Friday and it's been in preparing since Tuesday so I couldn't even cancel to buy it in stores. I can't afford to buy two and return one. I have no problem waiting for my given ship date but don't put the thing in stores before you've even shipped your pre-orders. I'm not typically a complainer but I did let them know that I'm not happy with the way this has been handled. No doubt they don't care but it made me feel better.

Apple should really go to like a Tuesday or Wednesday launch day in the future. Having it on Friday means that if something goes wrong with the shipping, people have to wait all weekend being pissed off without their new acquisition.

Is there actually an e-mail address you can file a serious complaint about the on-line store ? I dug around the Apple website, but all I could find was a survery for the their Brick & Mortar stores.

Guess I have to make some phone calls on monday again, but don't think it will help.

I think their use of couriers to send out stuff on-line is a complete joke.

And yeah, friday is a very bad choice. AFAIK, the iPad Pro will this time launch on a wednesday. Maybe they learned...

Email Tim or even Angela. But I'd say go with Tim

Well here we are on the 5th day and I still have not even shipped! I ordered early Monday morning.
I realize that today is not considered a "business" day but still. Mine says shipping in 3-5 business days so the next earliest shipping day would be Monday.
This is just unacceptable.
I'm and going down to Apple today and picking one up at the store and returning the one I ordered online. That is if I EVER get IT!
They should have announced it would be available in stores on Friday and let the customer decide how they wanted to get their product. If the supply is low, then why did the stores get them before the pre-order ppl.
The person who handled all this should be fired!

I don't understand why people are getting so annoyed at the shipping....from the minute it went live on the store it said delivers between 30th November and 3 (or 4th) of November.....by my calendar we are still on the 31st October....so Apple hasn't broken its promises or failed anywhere. If you haven't received it by the 4th then of course you have every right to complain.

I do agree that people who paid for one day shipping should have arrived on launch....but this could be down to the way Apple allocates stock and order of shipping from warehouse....nobody knows in truth.

Ok guys so I got fed up and called Apple to cancel my order. Told the rep that I was expecting it yesterday and that I will just go to my local Best Buy and just pick it up. she apologized and said that they've been getting a lot of calls about the same issues we're all having. So she went on to say how she couldn't cancel the order because the order was preparing for shipment, told her yeah since Tuesday! I then asked her if I can get expedited shipping, so she put me on hold for about 5 to 7 minutes and came back and told me that she could not do expedited shipping but then said that complementary they will refund my money including taxes and send me the AppleTV for free. I'm very happy with that decision they made, told me that it's a one time thing that they did for me and that it was for my troubles.

I totally agree with you! Not only do they use DHL Express (which is far worse in my opinion than UPS) but also the whole order tracking system is broken. Mine shipped yesterday, so I wasn't as lucky as some who got it shipped Thursday evening, and since then nothing changed on Order Status page, I can only "Print Invoice" or "Return Items", no way to track. I decided to start a chat, and when I asked rep about my tracking he at first couldn't find it and then gave it to me (DHL :() and said that I should have got one in the email (which obviously I never received). Thankfully it's already on the German-Polish border and is scheduled to be here on Monday. :)

This whole "launch" is a total mess, almost like the Apple Watch one...
