I doubt it. We perceive it as "chaos" here in the forums, because as early adopters of this device, we REALLY want these things. This is a storm in a teacup though.Tim Cook's job is to delegate. And yes, he has no control over packages once the shipping company has them. But surely someone's head is going to fly because of this. I'm sure all this chaos wasn't meant to be.
I find it fun in a sick way though. Once I get mine and start setting it up, I'll be like, "Oh man, just a few days ago I was in MacRumors complaining about how stupid this whole process was. How silly I was being over a gadget." It's nice to have a place like this to vent though. You'll always find people in your same situation.
P.S. I highly doubt that Tim Cook could even "delegate" someone to go intercept anyone's Apple TV off of a FedEx truck and get it to them any sooner. Apple gets the stuff to FedEx so they can get stuff to us. Once FedEx has it, it's between you and FedEx. All Apple can really do is say, "FedEx really screwed up the Apple TV launch. Let's not use them next time."
P.P.S. I doubt they would ever say that though--between USPS, UPS, and FedEx, FedEx is probably the lesser of all the evils. They're at least SOMEWHAT reliable and have SOMEWHAT accurate tracking.
