Apple TV 4 Pre-Order Thread

My expectations for this were higher I have to admit. I know it will improve but right now it is rough around the edges and makes the 3rd gen seem solid. So far I feel like I paid $200 to fast forward more easily. I do like the speed of the remote but the OS has bugs.
I also don't like the fact that I now have another remote to keep track of after using a single harmony remote for 8 years. It'd be OK to put down the harmony and just use the Siri remote while using the Apple TV but the IR volume control does not work.
So use the Harmony to control the Apple TV, just keep the Apple remote close by in case you decide you want to use Siri.
I bought the TV at the store Friday. I started to talk with customer services re refunding my expedite fee. Initially they said NO and I asked to speak to a superior. Once I got through to the manager level they did everything to refund my expedite fee and then create a return label for the unit I had ordered online. My Monday morning online order finally went from PFS to shipping on Saturday evening with a 11/3 receipt date. I have now however had my brand new ATV4 since Friday lunchtime when I picked up at the store. If you are told by the first line service center you are not to get a refund I would recommend you talk to a supervisor.
mine changed to shipped when I check my order page but I have not received an email about it from Apple. When I follow the tracking info it is from OnTrac and says that they have not tendered the device so there is no ETA listed as yet. Still don't know when it's coming but I don't really care now because I went down to Apple yesterday and bought one outright. HA!
My second unit just went to 'shipped'. Apple Store says Nov 3 (Tues). Don't have any FedEx info yet that works. Since no delivery on Monday, they have lots of time to get it closer.
Haha, I'm picturing this Amish buggy with a UPS logo on the side loaded down with boxes of Apple TVs trotting across the Canadian wilderness. Priceless.
Just changed to shipped. Philly. Paid for expedited but it says delivery by November 3rd? Better have it by tomorrow.
What carrier? No FedEx Home on Monday.... Same issue here. (Standard for me.)
Anyone that didn't get it Friday and paid for expedited, I'd sure call and get the refund for the shipping. The whole thing is a joke, but the extra charge is an insult.
FedEx. No info on their site to see where it is though. I don't know about the Monday thing, but it's coming to my office. Better shot for tomorrow? Yea this whole thing is a joke. I'll be calling tomorrow if I don't get it.
Hm. If they know it's a business address, it may be coming 'real FedEx' and you might get it tomorrow. Check the tracking when it's created. I don't even have a label yet (it just spins at FedEx.com).
But from what we hear, FedEx Home does not deliver Sun and Mon. Each of the services is different and has different pricing of course!
As I suspected. Earlier today my UPS tracking said no date but originally said Tuesday. Just got an email update fromUPS that says delivery is tomorrow! That's great news! 
My order is still PFS since Monday. Original delivery window was Nov 2-4, so it can still make it on time but I find it weird that it's not shipped yet.
In any case I got another Apple TV at the store on Friday, and I've playing with it. As many others have said it's still a bit rough, the experience is not there yet. It has potential with the apps, but it will require Apple to change its OS to improve Siri, make the iOS remote app to work, etc.

So, finally got label info. Second unit is in Harrisburg like the first one, three days ago. Agreed. It think the way UPS, Fed-ex, etc operations needs to change big time. They got to get rid of standard, express, horse & carry, or other shipping options. Just pick up the packages, put it on the damn plane to get it to the customer the next day or 2.

Makes me wonder how messed up the launch of the iPad Pro might be
Had similar problems with my Apple Watch and iPhone 6s Plus orders. Only difference was I couldn't get either one at all on launch day, despite my early pre orders.

Just looked at shipping info for UPS. Looks like the 32GB unit ordered on Monday will be shipping out of Burlington, ON. When? Who knows, but UPS was not a stellar performer with my Apple watch earlier this year. Lets hope they have at least two wagoneers and fresh horses at Winnipeg.
LOL no kidding. Hopefully UPS don't need to substitute the horses w/ donkeys. May have to change UPS standard to UPS ass service if that happens.
