I just can't justify the Apple One Premier plan anymore. Debating whether to drop down to the Family plan or just drop straight down to only the 2TB iCloud+ plan. I don't think anyone in my family even takes advantage of Arcade or Music. I know we never use AppleTV+. News+ was really the only thing outside of the iCloud storage that we really took advantage of. Hmmmm... 🤔

EDIT: Decided to just drop Apple One entirely and only do the 2TB iCloud plan moving forward. Not sure how long I'll continue to hold unto that subscription. It is more for the family than it is for me.

You could go Apple One Family and then just update to storage from 200GB to 2TB. That comes to $32.95. That is what I'm debating. Puts be back at the yesterday price and I just loss Fitness+ and News+ (which I rarely use).
My plan exactly

I'll cancel once Lessons in Chemistry is done, then subscribe again in 2025 for Severance season 2. Until it's over.

This sounds like my plan. My free subscription to Apple News ends in December. Then it goes poof. I've enjoyed it but not enough to subscribe. I need to return to reading books and spend less time watching TV.

Nice increase! Bravo Apple! Shareholders are going to love that!
Up to now, I was using Apple One for the family, where initially I only had their icloud services.
Apple TV + is okay, but in the long run, I am asking myself, whether we just stick with Netflix and Prime.
Apple Arcade has never been used in my family.
Apple Music is used by the other family members, while I stick with Qobuz , who have a much better service for HiRes music.
The second hefty price increase lead me to think about it.
Moving to Qobuz family and getting back to just icloud and Apple TV+ for the family will be cheaper and not less interesting.

Yes they got a 50% pay bump, plus possible bonuses, plus more time “on set” plus guaranteed writers

YOU get to pay this.
No, this is not true, AT ALL. Please read some articles about what did the writers get, because it what you are saying here has nothing to do with reality.

A 43% increase for ATV+?!!
40% and 30% for the others?
Take it. Shove it.

$6.99 to $9.99 is an almost 43% price increase.

Yes, but on a yearly average basis from when each of the services launched, it's around 19% per year average for Apple TV+, a bit under 9% per year average for Arcade, and a bit over 7% per year average for News+.

The amount of available content has increased since launches too which can account for some of the price increases. One would expect Apple TV+, for example, to be more expensive because it has a lot more content than it did at launch. Whether or not it was worth it then or now remains up to the subscriber.

I have the Apple One subscription too, with the 2TB iCloud storage, shared with my family. The storage part we truly need. I use Apple Music and TV+ a lot, but the rest of it could probably go. Thing is, the way the bundle works, I think I'd be paying more for the services we use à la carte, even though we never touch Fitness or Arcade.
True enough. Look at the breakdown.
