Is music and storage staying the same price? I might as well just cancel TV and Arcade from my bundle.

Edit: Looks like they are!

Dear lord, $9.99 for ATV+?

Hell no! Took issue with it even for $6.99 for what it offered

The times are really... great, aren't they? :D

That’s me cancelling. If they’re going to hike the price they should at least increase the storage on the family plan. Crazy. I’m done.

I'm on their go5gplus and have had it since I signed up. I don't see anythign about it being 12 months but definitely will have to check. I really like Severance, Silo, Shrinking (lots of s's lol) and a few others but not enough to keep it when those shows are between seasons.
The Go5G+ and Next are included. Lower plans are 12 and 6 month

Apple One Family is $25.95 and include Apple TV+, Arcade, Music and 200GB of iCloud+. You can upgrade iCloud to 2TB for $7 more (or at least you could). Takes you to $32.95
I dont think thats right. You get the option to add 2TB of iCloud for 9.99 so that would put you at around 35.94, just round it up to 36 dollars. Apple One Premier is 37.95. Damed if you do damed if you dont basically.

It is, but the Family One plan already includes the iCloud+ at 200GB which is valued at $2.99. So I thought it was just $7 more to upgrade to 2TB.

I have Apple One Premier because I use the 2TB iCloud storage, Fitness+, TV+, and Music. The cost is still worth it to me, but I do wish they’d provide a storage bump with the increased cost. Why not offer 4TB for Apple One Premier subscribers and charge $39.99? Oh well.

Now it will be $37+

Edit: I see you meant Family, not Premier.

More reasons for me to continue to give Apple less money.

The entire bug-riddled user experience has gone downhill in dramatic fashion over the last 5 years as prices have steadily climbed. Tim is trolling at this point. If there was anywhere else to go, I’d leave, and that’s a sad, sad state of affairs from where Steve left Apple.

Never forget your dollar vote; it is certainly hard to leave the ecosystem altogether in the current landscape, but you don’t have to give Apple any more money than you have to. This is the kind of Apple product that’s easy to say no to.

I have been looking at Apple One for my family but 37 is pricy.

My main needs are
Apple music
2TB iCloud

Apple TV, News, Arcade etc are ok, I cant remember the last thing I saw on Apple TV other than the snoopy show. Never tried the Arcade or the News, or the fitness thing.

If they sold a year bundle at a discount I would be interested.
Same here. It might be well to adjust our Apple One now.

If you’re going to miss apple news+ then another user on here (i cant remember their name now) mentioned that you can use pressreader with a library card number and read all the newspapers and magazines for free. It has more titles than news+, it’s totally legit and it’s free forever - ive been doing it for a couple of months already. Their app is way better than news+ as well. The only tiny bit of hassle is having to join your local library

That's a price increase above what I arleady wasn't paying Apple.
I know, sounds a bit too Debbie Downer, but the reality of things is that Netflix is the only streaming service that is profitable still.
Parmount+ (CBS) might be for sale, Disney/ABC already is for sale (at least in part), and Comcast/NBC is losing a fortune in the cable TV biz now too and with Peacock.

Yep, linear TV is still making the most profit. If Steve Jobs were still alive, I'd bet Apple would own Disney/ABC right now.

My Apple TV+ subscription is due to end mid Jan. I went into the 'Subscriptions' section in iOS and saw that I could select the annual renewal of $69 so I chose that.

Now seeing
You've subscribed through a promotional offer.
Starting Jan 28, 2024, your plan will renew for the regular price of $69.00 per year until cancelled.
Here's hoping that works!

Hook everyone in with low prices then raise them every year. Seems to be the strategy across the board for any subscription service. Now is the time for cable/satellite companies to undercut them and/or partner with them if they want to see a resurgence. People are getting fed up.

Whoa thanks for the tip!

EDIT: actually @azentropy, the 2TB is/has been $9.99, so that's $35.98 compared to $37.95 for Premier. So I might as well stick with it for that extra $2. I can probably read $2 worth of Apple News articles in a month.
