Maybe my health insurance provider can pay for it since it’s a medical device.
;)
This looks pretty great I’m interested

Where you really expecting new Mac announcements at an iOS focused event? Rumor is another event in Oct that is Mac focused.

I’m more upset that there were no iPad announcements - perhaps that will also happen at the rumored Oct event.

I remember a time BEFORE the iPhone...

"One More Thing..."

Perfectly satisfied with my Series 1 watch, but this is great for new customers.

Might upgrade at Series 5 or wait it out for 6, depends on how long mine holds up.
Kinda thinking the same, still enjoy my series 1....still very functional. Might try and hold out, just in case they release something a bit more rugged looking.

I want to get the gold, but I can’t tell the brightness of it. I’ll stick with my plan to get the SBSS this year.

$699 plus $79 for AppleCare. My health is worth it.

I was hoping for a “One more thing...”, but we haven’t had that in a long time. It seems to be nearly impossible to stop leaks at this point, so they can’t keep a “one more thing” secret anymore. With that being said, I was hoping they were going to do a “one more thing” for the iPads...but alas.

My 1st gen Apple Watch still works fine, but this version got me thinking about buying this version.

So what is the actual bezel on the series 4? Some of the Watch faces make it look as big as the current watch. Very confused.

This is approximately how it works out: the orange is the old 38mm bezel and new 44mm active display area. The Dark green is the new 40mm active display area. The Light green is the old 42mm active display area, and the inner white space is the old 38mm active display area. This graphic is to scale, so the new bezels are roughly around 2mm.

Is it me or do the bezels still look big? Is the increase in screen size mostly from increasing the size of the watches? Not sure I prefer a watch bigger or smaller than the current 42m. Either way I'll probably rock my series 3 another year or two.

Kind of disappointing knowing that they didn’t improve the battery life from the previous watch. Either way, I’m still getting it. My Series 0 is on it’s last legs and it’s time for an improvement.

Is there any difference between the stainless steel and aluminium models besides the casing? Is the back the same on both? Are there still only sapphire glass on the stainless steel models?

EDIT:

Seems like you still have to pay for stainless to get sapphire on the front but both have ceramic and sapphire glass on the back.

Any advice on choosing the display size? Old eyes? Manly wrist? Does that mean big? :)
I see the 40mm now says it fits 190mm wrist. since the display is actually larger than the old 42 you may want to consider that.

I am sold.

649 for Nike+ S4?! He USA:CAN doesn’t alone warrant this huge price increase. $99+ for AppleCare. It’s ridiculous! Will I buy it ... yes but not right now. I’ll get thre S3 again since it’s now cheaper to help for my workouts but upgrade to S4 in 2mths handing off the S3 to my sister

I was hoping for better sleep tracking :(

With ECG it’s there. Trust me.

This is sad, while announcing a life saving feature (ECG) Apple just killed Kardia. :( That’s cold...and capitalism, but still cold.
I thought Apple bought Kardia a year or two ago.

Either way, Kardia is a device an entire family can use/share and is a lot cheaper. I still think this targets a different use case/market.

I was really tempting to get the Watch 4. Really liked the ECG function. Sadly it's only available in US later this year. Nowhere else. And I doubt it will be in Germany anytime soon. (like ApplePay takes a long time). So nothing really new and disappointing.
