Taking it off for 90 minutes every day is a bit much for me, I am rarely in one place for more than 30 minutes so I guess I will just have to go without the sleep monitoring etc and take it off and charge it at night

I sleep monitor with my Apple Watch series 0. Charge it up to 100% in an hour before bed, wear it all night, top it up while eating breakfast and showering, and it's fine for day.

Most likely has to do with regulatory approvals. I’m sure it’s been in the process for some time.
Yes I'm sure they need approval from EMA in Europe. Approval of medical devices takes a lot of time and Europe tends to have stricter regulations as well so it might take a while.

It’s to pay for all these talking heads on stage to have a free S4. But suspicious every single guest on stage has a series 4 on wrist already.

You are paying for these *******s to have a free Apple products. Every single time you comply with Timmy’s latest gouge.

It's hilarious that you think a 20% increase is unfair for a watch with substantially improved processor, sensors and substantially larger screen.

Apple has had the best selling watch line in the world since the release of the first Apple Watch for good reason, they provide great value. Go buy a cheap Android watch for $200-$300, and it won't do as much, or do it remotely as well. That's why all the Android watch-makers combined are struggling to even sell the same number of units as Apple, despite selling them at half the price.

Is it me or do the bezels still look big? Is the increase in screen size mostly from increasing the size of the watches? Not sure I prefer a watch bigger or smaller than the current 42m. Either way I'll probably rock my series 3 another year or two.

Is the Apple Watch physically bigger or is just the screen bigger because it has less borders?

It's physically bigger. It's got an extra 1mm added to the top and bottom of the watch, the sides are the same.

The display area is actually bigger as well. This graphic should help. Orange is the new 44mm display area (and 40mm bezel), Dark green is the new 40mm display area. Light green is the original 42mm display area, and the inner white is the old 38mm display area.

Something I do not think is being made clear enough.

ECG Is ONLY available in the US at launch. Go and look at your individual countries page on the series 4 and you will find no mention of the ECG. In the keynote it was brushed over very quickly.

True - electrical ECG NOT available in Canada it seems.

That is no good - Now I have to get it sent to a USA address and reshipped to Canada, and then configure my stuff to the USA App Store is my best guess.

I wonder if there is a physical difference in the international versions? OR is the ECG present, but not going to be activated until they decide about country legal stuff?

I mean, can I buy it in Canada, and then set it up as a USA model on the USA iTunes blah blah and be "all good"?

ECG tracking is considered a regulated medical device/product, so of course there are some hoops to jump in other countries. FDA usually takes awhile in the US so they certainly had this on the roadmap for some time.

If you fall and it contacts the authorities, do you need the cellular option?

No. It will use your iPhone via bluetooth just like with SOS today.
