My biggest takeaway was no new classy looking watch faces...unless you fork out big $ for an Hermes model.
Come on, give us something other than Meridian.

No more Nike versions?
It actually got even rounder, according to the keynote 🤣The case doesn't look very flat to me.
Why would they leak something awesome then revealed something just OK?
Looks like some last minute decisions due to component shortages and Covid challenges.
Oops! I was thinking I was in general thread 😂We are completely off-topic here, yegon, but I just share exactly your thoughts...
Very disappointed that there’s no glucose monitoring. Pass. Aside from the screen redesign it’s basically a 6 feature wise.
Apple today announced the Apple Watch Series 7 at its "California Streaming" event, featuring a new larger design, a new Retina display, thinner borders, better durability, faster charging, and more.

The Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm size options, up from 40 and 44mm of previous models, and features a new casing that has a softer-edged design.
The new Apple Watch is available in five aluminum colors including midnight, starlight, green, blue, and red. Stainless steel models are available in silver, graphite, and titanium is also available in multiple colors. Apple Watch Series 7 is also compatible with existing watch bands.
Apple Watch Series 7 prices start from $399 and will be available later this fall.

That's the only explanation as to why it's going to take until Fall to get a slightly larger screen into the same chassis with no other update to the device.
They’re not though. The case is bigger.Given how accurate the leaks were for other products, I have no doubt that production delays resulted in Apple using the current case.
This is what I was wondering too. They usually tout the processor, but there's no mention of a "S7 SiP"... Is this watch retaining the S6 SiP from the previous model?Does it have a new S7 processor? Or is it using the same SoC as Series 6?
I'm on my 4 year track record of not updating from my AW3.Damn… we have to wait until next year for the REAL update.
For the first time in a few years… I might not upgrade lol.
No new sensors, still offering AW3, that seals the deal I'm staying on AW3.Somehow, Apple convinced me in 5 minutes not to upgrade my series 4.
I thought exactly the same. Shame on them. Now we know why Apple recently kept banning and causing senseless release issues with that keyboard app.
Look Ma, now the Apple watch suddenly supports flicks...
Anti-competition at its finest.
