No more Nike versions?

It was shown in the video. Looked like a new Nike band and watch face as well. Bounce I think it was called.

The real question is will the Nike version drop later as it always does or since the general release seems to be delayed, will the Nike version will release at the same time?

Wow literally all the leaks were wrong as far as the look goes. Since I got the Series 6 six months ago I am pretty happy.

Why would they leak something awesome then revealed something just OK?

I guess kinda like auto companies who tout some amazing looking 'concept' car in Auto Shows and then ship some lame ass box-on-wheels when it comes to production time.

Given how accurate the leaks were for other products, I have no doubt that production delays resulted in Apple using the current case. If you are able to tell that the Face ID component is smaller, the diagonal orientation of cameras, 128 GB starting storage… then you would expect to at least know the general shape of an Apple watch. Basically, the flat design will be coming next year along with the temperature sensor.

Looks like some last minute decisions due to component shortages and Covid challenges.

That's the only explanation as to why it's going to take until Fall to get a slightly larger screen into the same chassis with no other update to the device.

The Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm size options, up from 40 and 44mm of previous models, and features a new casing that has a softer-edged design.

The new Apple Watch is available in five aluminum colors including midnight, starlight, green, blue, and red. Stainless steel models are available in silver, graphite, and titanium is also available in multiple colors. Apple Watch Series 7 is also compatible with existing watch bands.

Apple Watch Series 7 prices start from $399 and will be available later this fall.

Very disappointed that there’s no glucose monitoring. Pass. Aside from the screen redesign it’s basically a 6 feature wise.

Forget the design what happened to the battery life claims? It seems to me it’s the same as last year?

It seems all Apple events , so far, have been, just painfully boring. Everything in the Apple language is magical, beautiful, extraordinary, remarkable, best in class, all the adjectives , you name it , it's there.

The new watch is ok , nothing extraordinary , no new remarkable feature . But at least, give us some new elegant watch faces other the stupidly pricy Hermes .

Is it the same chassis though? I thought they said it was more rounded.

If so, then they must have had to have a new die made.

They’re not though. The case is bigger.
Besides, these designs are almost fully locked in years in advance. They can’t just decide a month from release to use a different case because there’s a few supply snags lmao.

Looked decent until they showed the chunky side profile. Fitness is second nature anyway like using the bathroom so what do you need a $400 fitness watch for? Just look at Tim Cook's gut and he probably has dozens of these.
