They couldn't have made the new iPhone 12 Pro a TOUCH lighter or heavier?
For reference, last year's 11pro was 188grams or a about .4 lbs. This year the 12 pro is 189 grams or .417lbs. The 12 is much lighter at 164grams or .362lbs at the same exact dimensions.
So the 6.1 Pro has a stainless steel band, a telephoto lens and Lidar sensor for (probably) an extra $200. Really doesn’t seem worth it to me now that the regular 12 has OLED.
Why not call a lie a lie.
Their own f..ing software does not call it 4x, but 2x. (0.5x, 1x and 2x cameras)
I think they were saying you could zoom in 2.5x more than before, which was 2x. So it's 2.5 x 2 = 5x zoom, but just on the Max? It was a little confusing.its actually 2.5 x now optical
Not seeing any reason to upgrade from my 11 Pro Max apart from the squared off sides. 5G coverage is woeful in the UK and that’s not likely to change anytime soon so I’m gonna hold off till the next iPhone and potentially pick up an Apple Silicon Mac this year instead.
And they mentioned mmWave is only for the US market. Just checked the UK tech specs and yes only Sub 6Ghz![]()
Did Apple actually say they don’t need 120Hz?
will be interesting to see the battery life on all the models
I hope I can turn it off. Dont need it and battery killer. Was this super cycle because of 5g? In the US , 5g is sometimes slower than LTE.
I don’t get the big deal over this. I have it in my iPad Pro and I honestly don’t notice it.‘no, and it will be here next year. If we didn’t ‘need it’ it wouldn’t ever be in the iPad
Really disappointed that Apple still has not mastered reverse charging, no lay flat Face ID and 120 refresh rates. I think Apple screwed up by showing the 12 first because it just highlighted how little you get in the 6.1" 12 Pro
If you look at the specs on Apple.com, it shows the 12 pro max having 5x zoom, and the 12 pro having 4x zoom, over last years 2x. So both models have more optical zoom this year. The differences in cameras specs is 100% a space thing, and not Apple being cheap 🙄
I compared specs just now for iPhone 11 Pro Max & iPhone 12 Pro Max; they’re identical so after that glorious surprise last year of +4/+5 hours vs XS Max it looks as if Apple is back to its old self, any efficiency savings being eaten up by making the phones thinner. Personally I’m pretty disappointed that they didn’t deliver any gains at all. Apple never delivers a new phone with 0% performance increase vs the previous model so why is it OK with 0% battery life gains? No mention of battery life? Hmmm
