I've tried this twice (forget + re-pair) but to no avail. I'm on the latest dev beta. I've tried restarting my phone twice, leaving on charger next to phone, leaving lid open for 15+ minutes, closing lid, putting earbuds in ears, then back in case, etc... seems like I've tried everything. Overall, I've been trying for over an hour. Still stuck on 2D27

🤦‍♂️ Apple needs to add a way to manually update.
Public beta and no joy here either. :(

Try to Reset your Airpods Pro.

It has been over an hour and my APP still haven’t updated. I really wish Apple would allow us to manually update the APP like we can the watch or phone.

Edited to add: Mine has updated according to the firmware listed in the thread title.

Anyone have the build number?
Same here with my AirPods 2. 1 hour passed and my AirPods 2 still haven't updated. I tried listening to music and putting them back on the charger, resetting, switching phones, nothing seems to work...
My APP however, updated within 3 minutes, and I haven't done anything. So I don't know what the deal is, here.
Firmware on my APP is: 3A283

I have spatial audio on mine now, but it still shows the old firmware version

It’s all working and correct now!

Not sure if this has been mention. The new firmware fixed the serial number on my replacement AirPods, the serial number use to be 1 now it’s a real serial.

just noticed the same with my replacement APPs. Shows serial number now. Also, it didn’t show my APPs with the updated firmware after being on charger next to my IPhone 11 for 30+ minutes. Restarted my iPhone and an immediate check showed the new firmware was installed. I am on iOS 14 PB.

As a mild aside, for first time ever actually managed to get headphone sharing working between my pros and solo's, though I notice the audio sounds markedly worse when being shared on the pro's, not that noticeably different on the sol's. Anyone else got any experience on sharing?

Sharing audio to two pairs of AirPod’s Pro is silky smooth for me, no quality loss at all (11 Pro).

I just tried playing a movie and then slowing spinning around in my chair. It sounds like the sound is coming from the iPad behind me. Very cool!

My AirPods 2 sound much better, louder, better bass. I'm happy.

Question - Does Apple push out firmware updates to the PowerBeats Pro? I have a pair of those that has the connectivity issues, left one doesn't always connect then you need to re-seat them in the case to connect. I never see anything about that Firmware being updated...

I just received the update on my PowerBeats Pro (version 3A283). However, I don't see any "spatial audio" functionality in Control Center. Maybe it's not coming to these headphones? Or maybe I'm missing something in terms of how to enable it?

I'm gonna give Apple benefit of doubt bc I still haven't received an update either. This could be from a surge in demand from the server... just like how without manually updating, iOS updates are sometimes pushed to devices later as well.

Explains why I couldn’t get auto switching to work on my Powerbeats I guess I’ll have to wait for a firmware update

My airpods 2 cut out all the time. Stop playing randomly. My version 1 set had similar issues. I think I’m done buying Apple branded headphones, if a firmware update doesn’t fix this buggy mess.

oh my god I had this problem. Drove me INSANE!

happened with my Powerbeats pro so often, I wound up buying AirPod Pros. And it happened with them too (with stuttering).

But... I found a solution! Turn off “Hey Siri”. No problems with EITHER set since. Hope that might help!

meanwhile, spatial audio is damn cool!

Afaik AirPods won't update on a beta version of iOS. My girlfriend got her AirPods Pro replaced and we tried to get 2D15 for hours with an iPhone XS running the public beta.

Paired it to an iPad running iOS 13 and 5 minutes later they were up-to-date.
