Still not sure why they haven't added the podcast features to itunes that are in the app they have updated.

Would like to continuously play podcasts without creating smart playlists
Would like to change the display and play order like you can in the app

Bugs: album artwork only seems to show when podcasts are downloaded from the app and not when in itunes

Podcasts deleted in the app will not be deleted in itunes, if they still exist in itunes, they will be copied back to the app

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding this, but I've always had it show as a single album...

Could this be the way you have your tags done? I have always had it split based on the album count 1/2, 1/4, 2/4 etc.

It have not done the update, but it was splitting the albums up already, just not labeling them as such though.

Does this update let copy files from the shared computers over to say your iPhone or iPod without having the files stored locally first? (One can dream right)

Downloading now. All I care about is if itunes minimizes when i double click the top bar, it's the only app that doesn't do that.

EDIT:

Goddammit.

Screenshots of the new MiniPlayer. I'm unsure what to make of it yet.

In general I like it, but I miss the ability to resize it a bit taller and show the name of the album. Even with the full album art expanded I still don't see the album name listed anywhere.

My biggest complaint with iTunes is when you switch from your library to the iTunes Store and then back, it loses your place in the library.

Example - I'm in songs view, and I've searched for "Blink 182" so it's only displaying my Blink 182 songs. Then I go to store and back again and the search is gone and I'm at the top of my massive list of songs again.

The reason this annoys me is I use the store a lot to make sure my track names and order are correct (super OCD about my music library).

Anyway I doubt they will fix this but I'm curious to see when I get home from work.

If you navigate away to do anything else in iTunes you lose your place. That is still my biggest complaint about iTunes 11. I can't believe how they overlooked that with the redesign.

<nevermind, used to albums view and not song view>

As it seems to be what people are doing in here, I'll applaud -your- choice of music in screenshot. Can never have too much Pulp :).

Looks like some good stuff for a point point update. I got sick of the new album view recently, kind of pedantic with window sizing for content, and with the slide outs it keeps changing. The store is also awful for this, but easier to ignore. Looking forward to trying song view with album art.

Love the new app update button, much easier to view app change logs.

And iTunes now opens full screen now instead of in a tiny window on Windows 8 with two screens in extended mode :D. I had to make it bigger manually every time. This was broken since iTunes 11 for me.

I would have called this iTunes 11.1 as there is more than just bug fixes in this version.

Yes it was.

Could be, waiting for download to finish to see how it's different.

Yes, the storage bar is not glossy and even has a slight speckle texture.

The scrubber shape is different as well.

iTunes has been Cocoa for a while now.

No it's not. It's a Cocoa container with Carbon underpinnings. Everything about iTunes is hacky now. Scrolling is jerky, closing and minimizing the window activates the window (Cocoa apps don't do this), full screen button doesn't show rollover effect when windows is inactive, and much more.

This is also the reason why you don't see sheet dialogs in iTunes, and the toolbar doesn't move down along with the menubar when you hit the top edge of the screen.

They finally fixed almost all the bugs I've seen in iTunes 11.x. Seeking in (long) videos (over AirPlay) still results in a spinning wheel the first time and a will-stop-playing-try-it-again the next time. iTunes also still bugs out when Airplay is producing errors with an infinite loop of error messages making a force quit necessary. Everything is working now except for AirPlay.

Still hoping for things like coverflow and the old albumcover in the sidebar. Hopefully they revert the changes to the global repeat and shuffle functions.
I like the minor design changes. They should also find a replacement for the rectangle to switch to full-screen. The outline on the new miniplayer is a bit bad . Way too much space on the left side and the height of the image should match the other elements.

Isn't it funny that Apple take away certain features than add it back and call them updates. They could do this all year round and we'd be jumping and clapping every time they update something.

Jony Ive to iTunes developers: "Now that Forstall is gone, what changes to iTunes do you hate most? " iTunes developers: ... Jony Ive: "You know what to do then... "

Still doesn't look like they've fixed enough for me to move from 10.7. Shame.

They've also fixed the bug where all movies that you add were stuck in the Home Videos section. When you select "movie" as its kind now, it moves it to the proper location. I don't know if this bug was fixed in an earlier update to iTunes 11 since I haven't tried it since first installing iTunes 11, but at least that bug is gone.

Why is the download on Apple's page taking you to 11.0.2? where on, Most Recent Downloads it says 11.0.3.

Why thank you kind sir. :) Great band and feel very privileged to have seen them live twice.

Finally finally finally the music window does remember where I left it once I switched to store and back. Seriously every time I switched to store and back, it was scrolling back to the top and I had to find which album I was browsing once more.
