Considering iTunes, I think iOS 7 won't be that flat. I think it will be nice and sharp, but nowhere near Windows Phone (thank goodness).

Is the storage bar more flat than before? wasn't it glossy?

Seems it. This is the previous versions one:

What do you need to do for multi-disc albums to show up as 1? It only seems to work if I go into songs individually and check the "part of compilation" button. And even then it isn't consistent.

Make sure you have Disk 1 of 2 and Disk 2 of 2 on all the tracks

Am I correct that they still haven't restored Cover Flow? So all we have is that awful garish custom colors for open albums, movies, etc. option for glitz and glam.

Glad I'm sticking with 10.7. It's not perfect, but at least it's not hideous to look at.

No kidding jessica, my SSD MBA gets beach balls all the time w/iTunes. Not sure if it's because of Match, communication with the store, or what TBA.

frustrating to say the least.

I don't use Match and I can even be disconnected from the internet (tried) and still get it. I am running a 2008 octo-2.8 with a SSD that is only half full. This happens when I am adding music to the library whether it be locally (as a test) or via my NAS. I've had the same issues on new machines as well.

Either way, I'm not the only one with the problem.

My biggest complaint with iTunes is when you switch from your library to the iTunes Store and then back, it loses your place in the library.

Example - I'm in songs view, and I've searched for "Blink 182" so it's only displaying my Blink 182 songs. Then I go to store and back again and the search is gone and I'm at the top of my massive list of songs again.

The reason this annoys me is I use the store a lot to make sure my track names and order are correct (super OCD about my music library).

Anyway I doubt they will fix this but I'm curious to see when I get home from work.

Yes, this is aggravating, and has not been fixed.

I did figure out how to get back to what's playing quickly though:
at the top where the song is playing,
click on the arrow next to the song title,
then on Go To "song title"
it will scroll down to where ever in the song list that song is playing.

Problem is, I keep forgetting about that function.

Am I the only one that noticed the new App update screen? They removed the button on the bottom right and put it up next to the categories.

i wish the miniPlayer was enabled as a MenuExtra/Menulet (whatever you call those things) pop-down... or at least make this an option. I have tried some such apps from the appstore, but haven't found anything satisfying yet.

my reasoning: if i'm running multi-monitor, i can just keep iTunes open filling a monitor. but if i'm limited to just my MacBook screen, the miniPlayer just isn't that helpful to me (even though i like using it) because I need the space for other apps and it just gets lost.. it's much easier to click an icon on the right side of the menubar.

I finally downloaded it two hours ago.. It seem ok, but I'd prefer the mini player get the stoplight back, what wasn't working with that? Why was that changed? I also would prefer being able to click the green light on full screen to launch mini player. The grey rectangle is dumb.

Sounds like some nice enhancements. Though I'd personally like to see iTunes hide tracks that don't have any album information from album view instead of showing "Unknown Album". The stock gray album artwork kind of disrupts the overall flow.

You can no longer view your artwork at full resolution, at least on Windows. Now, when ever you click the small icon in the progress bar area at the top, it opens the new mini player. In 11.0.2 when you click the artwork icon it would open you artwork in a separate window and you could "right" click and choose "actual size". That is no longer there in 11.0.3. Very disappointed, I would use this to see if I needed upgrade the artwork for an album. I originally had all 300x300 art from years ago and have been slowly upgrading to 800x800. Now I have no easy way of determining the size in iTunes.

I like the new mini player but don't like that you can't view art at full resolution anymore.

What is "always show" for under view options for the artwork, wouldn't it always show if you turn it on without having to click that box?

Yes, I still see two albums for d=the two disk album of "The ultimate Bee Gees" , the same for "Wham", the album of "Swing when you'r winning" (Robby Williams) shows up 5 times.

Are the album names the same? I just corrected a few I had that were listed as "Album Title [disc 1]" "Album Title [Disc 2]"

they also changed the way you update apps. took me a moment to find the "update" button ^^

edit: well this is freaking annoying ... i have a german and a US itunes account with some apps purchased here and there and i can no longer use the update all button because it spits out an error saying "please switch to the german store"

basically it shows "all" available updates now, it used to only show the us apps when im logged in with the us account and the german ones when i log in with the german account. now its all mixed together

Anyone know if this fixes the weird song date listing bug? Try and arrange songs by date added (or modified, anything with dates) on iTunes, sync that playlist to an iOS device, BAM, it's totally out of sync.

I've reported it each time it hasn't been fixed (even through their private reporting system) and it started in late 2011!
