Does anyone know if the Apple retail store is likely to have the 1.8ghz / 128gb 11 inch in stock tomorrow or will I have to order it online?

Goodbye white MacBook.

no, not good bye.
Look at iPod Classic.
They havent touched it since 2007.
But they did not kill it. You can still order it today.
As such, the MacBook will just enter the eternal state of stagnation in which its colleague lives.

It's not on the store anymore. You can't order it.

Called my local store

I am a business customer and asked when they will be in. Slight chance they may be in today. They are going to call me when the shipment comes in. Will let you know if they came in here in Fort Lauderdale.

If not grabbing the 11 Ultimate manana

Re the post expressing amazement at an 11" device costing $1599:

I'm getting one too. It's the perfect combination for my needs. I suppose you think a van is always a superior choice to a mini Cooper or porsche boxter? Silly.

13.3-inch
- 1.7 GHz, 128 GB SSD, 4 GB RAM: $1299

Uk price - £1099 - God damn UK tax. I wish I had a trip to the US lined up in the near future.

How are the Intel 3000 HD gpus vs the previous Nvidia one?

Intel 3000 sucks big time, if compared with Nvidia. Let see how the benchmarks will tell. I am also waiting on the numbers, for now, not changing my Nvidia one with the new AIR.

The only thing that seems missing is the HD facetime camera that the pro's got. Also I was hoping for the 1.7 Ghz i5's as the baseline models since those have a little extra graphics horsepower than the 1.6 Ghz i5's. For my purposes, I can't justify the $150 upgrade to the i7 (the main benefit being the extra meg l3 cache). I can't WAIT to pick this up in the store (tomorrow!? geez this wait is killing me!) and can't WAIT to see the benchmarks. Apple.com is saying twice as fast, or 100% faster! Seems bold but let us see...

No Facetime HD camera?

dang, the pros have it, why not the new air?

and did it lose an hour of battery life compared to the 2010 model?

1.7 Ghz? haha i remember buying a 2.4 white back in 2008 why would anyone subject themselves to such a slow processor

I would like to see a comparison of the specific Intel Core2 Duo L9600 and the i7 processor from today's just-released Air with the 1.8 GHz upgrade.

I looked on a few CPU comparison sites, but it's always hard to see exactly which two models of chips to compare.

Anybody have a direct link that could help us here? Thank you in advance!

Now that they have backlit KBs I have no excuse to buy anything but a 13" MBA when my original 13" MBP gets replaced one day. I'm eagerly awaiting a iFixit teardown of this to see how the new SB chipset is crammed in there.

Porsche Boxter vs Porsche Boxter with 20,000 dollar exhaust that gives 10 hp.

The base ones are fine. 5% or less gain for $135 is just throwing away money. The space issue, it's an 11 inch computer...unless it's going to be your main computer you don't need more than 128gb.

Can Snow Leopard be installed on these? Reason I ask is for Corp use, our VPN doesn't support Lion yet and the Execs all want MacBook Airs.
