People price bashing this are funny to me.

novelty at first? Yes. But you do realize, there are mid tier laptops in apples lineup priced just as much as this product?

I find it hard to understand why the Vision Pro comes with an M2 Chip, instead of an M3. M3 was already launched in 2023, consumes less power, and has much more GPU performance, something critical in a VR/AR product. Is Apple not interested in the success of the Vision Pro or there are technical limitations?
Apple started with M2 chip because they probably have a few warehouses full of them, and secondly, it gives them an easy route to the Vision Pro 2 w/M3 chip in 2026.

Laptops create. Laptop are tools people use to write apps and design and create product to make money. I suppose someone could use VP as part of their product to make money, but I also see people using these to play games and watch movies.

This is going to be get expensive if it wasn't already... a better headband, up the storage, extra batteries... 😳
Definitely waiting for gen 2

You’re assuming nothing will be created using this device? Look I’m just as skeptical as you. But I am not as dismissive as others here it seems.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the majority of these VP headsets would not be used to generate income for the owner. I bet the majority will be used to play games, watch videos and whatever other fun things app developers come up with (that Apple will allow).

Apple also confirmed that the Vision Pro's base storage capacity will be 256GB. It's unclear if higher storage configurations will be available.
$3,500 for 256GB storage. 🤣 Let me guess, 8GB memory too.

A 16GB/512GB Vision Pro will easily set you back $4,000 then.

Everything? A lot of work has been dine since. We have no idea what developers have created and we still don’t know all the details on the device.
We know more than enough of what it can do. What would an event really show you that the other didn’t? 1 million apps will be available at launch. What they showed off will work in feb.

256gb. For $3499. I can’t. I just cannot. I get that this isn’t priced for a bloke like me but they couldn’t spring for 512 at least????
Yup, this is just as bad as them still insiting that 8GB for a desktop or notebook is enough for most people as a baseline

With how resource hungry some apps have become, I'd beg to differ

After reading about this gadget, I'm curious how the sound works? It says the speakers are next to the ears, not in the ears, so do they use something like bone conduction technology for the audio? If so, fidelity isn't that great. But it must be so that the person sitting next to you can't hear your VP.

So much negativity. Let’s give it a chance, yeah? Even Apple knows the device is destined more for industrial use than recreational; 256gb is plenty for those applications.

In reality it’s a 256gb iPad Pro you strap to your face. That amount of storage on that device is still plenty. Video will likely stream from iCloud given you’ll be shooting it with your phone.

If you think the price is too high for businesses who can write it off on expenses then it’s not meant for you.
At the very least you can think of it as a high end $35900 display/monitor.

What is that ugly quest looking strap thing? Where’s the one They’ve been advertising forever?
As I read the release, they are including both versions of the band. The one you've been seeing, and this dual loop band.
  • Apple Vision Pro comes with a Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band — giving users two options for the fit that works best for them. Apple Vision Pro also includes a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, an Apple Vision Pro Cover for the front of the device, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C Charge Cable, and USB-C Power Adapter.
