I'd be good with a copy-paste type of function for iMessage chats. Much of my work texting is simply passing info from above down to my group. I already can respond easily, but all I want to do after that is forward the same text to my guys. Maybe a Force Touch option could invoke it.

I would only ask for one thing:

A way to really write messages! With actual letters and not by talking to him. Unfortunately i don't have an apple watch (yet) but i'm hopping the apple watch 2 comes with the texting feature so i can finaly buy it.

Waterproof, Integrated GPS, stand alone cellular data. I want the watch to be the primary device and I can use an iPad as its accessory. I'll settle for integrated GPS, if it had integrated GPS it could at least compete at some level with the other sport watches on the sport level.

not sure how copy/paste would work without text input, but a forward option would be good. thats more os3 than watch 2 though isn't it?

Yeah, either way. I figure they're trying different ideas to implement it. But, I don't know how far down the road it would go towards needless complexity; once you allow text forwarding, how do you choose the recipient (or recipients)?

"hey Siri, forward this to X" when looking at the message? Perhaps allow a long press to highlight whatever message if not the last.

Right, but how would I do it without interrupting a meeting or lunch at work? I've got ten guys in one of my threads to forward texts to, too.

Siri is so bad at speech recognition when compared to Google Now... still. :(

I don't even care for GPS or a stand alone cell radio (not going to happen in AW2). I want Siri to be excellent and she is becomes useful, that's all that's needed to use the watch for everything (except for those situations you can't speak out loud I suppose).

I have tried Google Now, but Siri does understand me usually perfectly well( there were some hilarious exceptions), so I really can't complain about him.

Ive had the AW since a month after it was released (order when thru a 12:08AM) and I really like it. No its not revolutionary like the iPhone was but there isn't a day I don't wear it and for the most part it does what I want it to do. That being said I still think its over priced. I got the SGS in 42mm and with apple care the price came out to over 450.00USD and to me that about 200.00 more than its worth. So for my wish list I would say drop the price number 1 but I also know thats not going to happen on AW2 so if Apple sticks to what it does with last years model of phones I see the 1st gen AW to drop in price.
Now on to AW2
  1. Longer battery (yes I have no problem with the life on the current AW but 3-4 days between charges would be nice)
  2. truly water proof for swimming, showers, etc. No I am not asking for a dive watch but your basic Timex is a good starting off point
  3. More customizable complications with customizable color options a la the last major OS update
  4. More faces and allow 3rd party watch faces .......a cool Star Wars branded one would be cool
  5. Siri with voice feedback
  6. Slimmer with the longer battery life.
  7. Not that I expect this but a "Plus" model with a larger screen, 42mm is nice but even now that the wall clock on you're wrist trend is over a 47mm to 50mm isn't that much bigger on most mens wrists and the added real-estate would be easier on my old eyes and of course it would provide room for more cool stuff.
Well thats it in a nut shell for me

List of wants:
46MM size (the "watch plus")
Round face
Always on screen (similar to how Android does a dim face with the time to maintain battery life)
Waterproof
Longer battery life
GPS on-board (and store coordinate activity in memory so it syncs back to your phone once within range)
More sensors
Faster processing
Facetime (if it can be done from behind the screen)
Cures world hunger
Grants me three wishes

"Waterproof"

I keep seeing it mentioned. Step back a minute and think…

It's already waterproof to an extent. No, you should not take it scuba diving. Nor should you wear it outside of your space suit, but that's another thread.

But the Apple Watch is waterproof enough so you don't have to worry about washing your hands or dropping it in the sink. You can even wash if off to keep it clean, or to get grit out of the crown (per Apple's recommendation, remember).

Okay, so now you know: you can get it wet.

But the touchscreen is baffled by water. Whether it's because my finger is wet or it's the stream of water from my shower, I might as well not bother with the screen, and just use Siri instead. I've successfully used the screen enough by blowing the water off, but it still ain't perfect.

So, let's ask for clarification on the word "waterproof". What should it mean as applied to the Apple Watch?

It should and does mean one of the two following things:

1) "I know nothing about anything and until they make it an iphone on my wrist that i can play ps4 quality games on i'm no interested. what, you mean the battery wouldn't last a week?!? no sale"

or

2) "i'm a dolphin and i can talk underwater"

What will the keyboard look like?

Something like when you have to search a name on the address book. A vertical list of letters that you could choose with the digital crown. Maybe it's not the best idea but most of the things that you love today seemed impossible once.

For me to even begin to consider the Apple Watch 2, it would need to be a serious fitness device, including:

1. Waterproof and software support for swimming exercise
2. Total overhaul of fitness software. Current software needs so many basic features to be really useful.
3. Speed. Everything needs to be faster. There's just too much latency.

I purchased the Apple Watch. Dock. Multiple bands. It's sitting in a drawer. Honestly, for me, it's not worth the hassle of having to charge it every day. I see the promise of the Apple Watch. But the execution lacked focus and accordingly, it does a lot of things with mediocrity. Let's hope Apple Watch 2 and WatchOS 3 are better.

I would like more health tracking such as body temp and blood pressure.

One thing that I would LOVE is an option for the watch to sound a unique tone when it is out of Bluetooth range of the phone. That would be so helpful in a couple of ways: (1) Keep me from inadvertently leaving my phone behind and (2) Keep me from thinking that I'm connected and missing important calls, etc. Yes, I know that there is a little red symbol when out of range but a tone would be much more helpful.

I'm not sure why you find it a hassle to charge the watch every day. I love that it needs charging every day so that I can set up a routine for charging overnight. It takes all of two seconds to take the watch off and put it on the charging stand.

It would be great of Apple just made the 2nd gen Watch thinner/faster and include a better speaker, as the current-gen hardware is quite good. Introducing WatchOS 3 with third party watch face support, an "always on" watch face option, and some way to address the slow non-native Watch apps would also be welcomed.

I know the Apple watch doesn't have cellular but only relies on tethered on internet access, but its important.... What happens if u loose your Apple watch but u have u'r phone on you still?

If both were together at least if the phone or watch had battery left u could track it probably via iOS... but if there is no bluetooth connection cos out of reach, and u lost it somewhere traveling, in a bar etc.... u've just lost your Apple watch.

If an iPhone can be tracked by itself. then this is kind of a short fall of a wrist worn device that must be tracked by itself..

how often do you "lose" a watch strapped to your wrist, really??

I have had my AW for a month now, and I love it! :apple: :)
So here´s my wishes for AW2:

Faster processor.
I want Siri to talk to me.
Better battery time and option for display always on.
As I love the design, I really hope they keep the physical format.
Also spent a small forune on straps, so I hope the straps are compatible AW - AW2.
Smart straps seems to be the way to go, I would like a sport strap with GPS chip and extra battery for powering the chip.
Podcast
Calculator, although I´m pretty happy with PCalc.
More features for personalizing watch faces.
left to right swipe to open a chosen app
