Stupid question but I'll ask anyway...do you need to be a developer to get watch OS 2?

Yes. I had to add the Watch's UDID to my developer account. The install procedure and the beta profile for the Watch you have to download say as much. Although, I don't know what would happen if you tried it anyway without adding the Watch's UDID.

Ok thanks for explaining. I'll have to wait for the release. Prolly best anyway.

So far I have not come across any problem with the apps. Yes I can send multi-colour drawing to other watches. The timelapse watch face is cool tho. really fast animation without lag.
Thanks! I'm updating now! :)

I've updated to WatchOS 2 and have un-paired and re-paired as a new watch. During the setup there was no activation lock screen as shown in Apples promo pics on their site. Just wondering if this is set in the background as not a brand new watch or do you think they'll add this in a later beta?

Yeah, I'm not seeing an option for this either, nor did I see it when repairing.

Night stand doesn't stay on.. it shows time for few seconds and the display is again black. You can touch it and it will show time again but I wish it had option to show time as it shows on Motorola 360.

Having it stay on should be a toggle. Personally I HATE having any sort of indicator of the time on when I'm in bed, it's fine if I can bring up the screen occasionally but a big glaring bright "IT'S 3 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!!! SUCKED IN, YOU'RE STILL AWAKE" showing all night drives me nuts.

Best thing I ever did was to get rid of my clock radio with its always on time display.

At least it's not just my watch then, seem to remember when activation lock first came out on iOS I never had to activate it pretty sure that was on a beta back then too.

Overall working ok. Seeing some speed improvements. Other than that and the new faces, not seeing much. There is a bug with contacts. Pictures and names are not showing up.

After 6 hours my battery on the Watch is 16%!!!!!!!!
anyone else has battery issues ?

I'm having issues with the Weather App not displaying the correct city for my location.

Maps app GPS location works just fine.

Yes there should be option to keep it on or off plus it has oled screen so i dont think it should be a problem to dim the screen so low that it could hardly emit any light but enough to see time in dark.

My contacts and calendars are empty! No events!! Do you see any events?

Weather not working for anyone else?

Quite a few people. Unpairing, repairing and then setting up as new fixes most of the issues with weather but there are still a few issues even after doing that (mine is incorrectly reporting it as being night during the day and weather shows up twice in the glances list)

In the Health app on your iPhone , do you still see multiple  Watch in Sources if you had to pair your watch more than once ?

Has anyone figured out how to make your watch last longer than 8 hours with the upgrade?

I had the pair my watch three times, as it kept hanging during update. But, I finally manage to update it. I don't see multiple Watches as the health sources though.

Actually I didn't register my Watch, only my iPhone. Watch OS 2 installed just fine.

Ah thank you ! This issue has been bugging me . I talked to  care and they had no idea how to fix this.
I'm not a dev so I'll have to wait until this is released ...

As you can see below , I'm not alone with this ;-)
