When they were demonstrating replying on the WeChat app, I thought I saw an icon that looked like a potential keyboard option...if true I wonder how they're going to implement that on the watch. I could be imagining things tho...

You mean this one?

Is there any way to not have apps automatically install their watch versions when there's an update? I keep getting garbage apps on my watch that do almost nothing when an update comes from the app store.

Yes, there always has been. On the iPhone -->Apple Watch -->General-->Automatic Downloads-->turn this off.

This option says "When this is on and you have apps on your iPhone that also work with Apple Watch, those apps will automatically download and appear on your home screen."

I'd love some form of keyboard! Can anyone confirm if there's any sign of this in the beta?

No sign of a keyboard.

I don't think a keyboard on the Watch would work, the screen is just too small to accommodate even a circular form of a keyboard and even then you gotta have some brilliant predictive text and it would still be slow to type on.

I wonder that keyboard icon is a trigger to hand off to the phone? Or maybe a T9 keyboard?

Hey folks -- just got my watch! Naturally, I put OS 2 on it first thing.

Couple things I'm having problems with:
- The Weather app can't figure out that I'm in Seattle and think I'm in the South Atlantic ocean and has no idea what the weather is there by the way. Maps knows where I am (well, it shows the location in the title although the map won't fill in).
- Apple Pay setup in the iPhone Watch app - adding a card fails when I put in my iCloud password.

Everything seems OK but the Weather app can't figure out that I'm in Seattle and think I'm in the South Atlantic ocean and has no idea what the weather is there by the way. Maps knows where I am (well, it shows the location in the title although the map won't fill in).

Ideas?

Firstly, this is not the place for bugs, which naturally the new beta brings a lot of. You can create a new thread AFTER you have submitted a Radar on bugreport.apple.com.

Secondly, yes, I have the same problem. Repeatedly clicking the location button when you go to the Weather app seems to fix the issue for me.

Thirdly, make sure you post a radar. Can't be stressed enough.

To be honest, 2.0 beta is so buggy and practically unusable for me, but again, that's for another thread.

Seemed like as good a place for bugs as any, since I didn't see a separate thread for bugs like there is with the iOS 9 Beta threads.

Thanks for the tip about hitting the weather location over and over -- I'll try that.

As for filing bugs with Apple -- great advice for everyone and will do so, as I have with hundreds of bugs in the past :)

I wonder why there isn't a Watch OS bug thread.

That should work, but currently that's a bug.

I'm not sure if this has been referenced but it seems that sounds are not user-customizable. Is this something that has changed in the OS 2 beta?

Also, OS 2 only brings up images of OS/2. It's going to be a weird OS year. :p

My exercise app isn't working... At least the outdoor cycle I was doing today. The time runs but the MPH reads 0.0 and 0 distance.

Folks, look at the password. 10 numbers take the whole space, what is another 16 plus the periods etc going to take? Put about 30 apps on your watch and push the stem. Try typing. No brainer in my mind. Besides the dictate works great on my watch. A 1000% better than I could type.

Will there be any more 1.x.x releases before 2.0 comes out? Surprised to see this thread has changed for an early beta.
