Would be cool if you could just draw out the letters with your finger and the watch converted it to text
Yea! That would be perfect. Sometimes I just want to enter a short quick message, instead of talking into a watch when im with someone.

That is the feature I want most! Half the beauty of any watch is the face. Most of the time my face is just a dark screen. I would like the option to leave it on for various amounts of time.Does the screen stay on longer In watch os 2.0?
Agree...shuts off too early. I never had my watch on anything other than wOS 2 but really wished Apple would extend it. Even a few extra seconds would help. Maybe we'll see that over summer but wouldn't hold my breath as longer screen on time means shorter battery life which is already gonna suck once apps can start running their logic on board. That is the feature I want most! This literally needs to be implemented. Would be so much more useful than those doodles...Yea! That would be perfect. Sometimes I just want to enter a short quick message, instead of talking into a watch when im with someone.
Nope most of the time you just see a black background and then your displays shuts off.Hey, anyone on the beta, does the motion watch face (specifically the jellyfish one) appear faster on 2.0? I love the jellyfish watch face, but feel that I've already checked the time 3 times before a jellyfish appears.
UGH. Lol ok thanks.Nope most of the time you just see a black background and then your displays shuts off.![]()
I think it's pretty telling that they need to increase the screen on-time by at least a little bit, when the jellyfish won't show when you check the time. It's almost like a complication. I checked the date, I checked the day, now where is that damn jellyfish?!
I would be happy with at least 15 seconds of screen on-time, 30 seconds when you press the digital crown. My watch on 1.0.1 used to have a lot of juice left over so I wouldn't mind at all. Should at least be a setting so we're in control of that.
I filed a radar asking for this though, on watchOS 2.0

Hahaha -- these T9 comments crack me up! The Apple Watch has been reduced to my old Nokia candy bar phone. That's the big thing for me. The Watch would literally be perfect if I could just answer my texts on it, which 90% of the time are just one word. But I think T9 would be faster than drawing letters one at a time. If it had that, I'd more or less never need to pull out my phone.

Being able to scribble the letters one by one on the watch face would do just fine and be a fun way of doing it too. I'm going to get seriously frustrated if they don't implement this.No kidding. Not in a million years will Apple reintroduce the world to the horror of T9.

Yeah, it would an effort work to make it really work. But it certainly can be done, the handwriting recognition on the Note series for example is actually stellar.I'm sure we will see some form of this eventually. I don't think a keyboard would be too practical, even though it would be useful to have one.
Scribbling would be good if it converts that to plain text and sends the mail/message. For this, there should be a good predictive text box and stellar handwriting recognition to be useful.

I'm assuming you've looked in the Watch app and have confirmed your settings are good (like set up "Mirror My iPhone" for Messages)?
I have noticed some weirdness in that most of the time:
- if I'm using my phone, notifications will show up on my phone and won't show up on my Watch
- if my phone is locked, notifications will show up on my watch and not my phone.
All of which makes sense. Except that it's not 100% consistent. Just now, for instance, while using my iPhone to type this response, my watch (rather than my iPhone) just alerted me to a Calendar reminder. So it's a little wonky.
Wiki said you can keep the watch on all the time..."
I tried this method and it doesn't work...anyone have any luck
- If you want the clock face to stay on, keep rotating the digital crown or hold a finger on the edge of the display
